نقلت “هيئة البث الإسرائيلية” عن مصادر مطلعة، أن الحكومة اللبنانية كانت على علم مسبق بأن “حزب الله” كان يقوم ببناء طائرات مسيّرة في الضاحية الجنوبية لبيروت، قبل نحو أسبوع من تنفيذ الضربة الإسرائيلية التي استهدفت الموقع.
وأضافت المصادر أن الجيش اللبناني امتنع عن اتخاذ أي خطوة ميدانية ضد هذه الأنشطة، رغم معرفته بها. وأشارت إلى أن النشاط الذي رصدته تل أبيب شمل “تصنيعًا أو تجميعًا لطائرات مسيّرة داخل مناطق مأهولة بالسكان”.
من جهتها، أوضحت قيادة الجيش اللبناني في بيان لها أنها “فور إعلان العدو الإسرائيلي عن تهديداته يوم الخميس، باشرت التنسيق مع لجنة مراقبة وقف الأعمال العدائية لمنع وقوع الاعتداء، فيما توجهت دوريات إلى عدد من المواقع للكشف عليها، رغم رفض العدو للاقتراح”.
وأكدت قيادة الجيش “التزامها التام بتنفيذ القرار 1701 واتفاقية وقف الأعمال العدائية”، محذّرة من أن “إمعان العدو الإسرائيلي في خرق الاتفاقية ورفضه التجاوب مع لجنة مراقبة وقف الأعمال العدائية، ما هو إلا إضعاف لدور اللجنة والجيش، ومن شأنه أن يدفع المؤسسة العسكرية إلى تجميد التعاون مع لجنة مراقبة وقف الأعمال العدائية”.
وشدد البيان على أن “الجيش يواجه التحديات بعزيمة وإصرار، ويستمر في أداء مهماته المعقدة لبسط سلطة الدولة على جميع أراضيها، وضمان أمن لبنان واللبنانيين، انطلاقًا من واجبه الوطني المقدس الذي يبقى أولوية مطلقة مهما اشتدت الصعوبات”.
“Israeli Media Accuses Lebanese Government of Inaction Over Hezbollah Drone Activities”
Israeli Broadcasting Corporation (IBC) reported, citing informed sources, that the Lebanese government was aware in advance of Hezbollah's activities to build drones in the southern suburbs of Beirut, approximately one week before the Israeli airstrike targeting the site.
The sources added that the Lebanese army refrained from taking any field action against these activities, despite being aware of them. They mentioned that the activity, which was monitored by Tel Aviv, involved the “production or assembly of drones inside populated areas.”
The Lebanese Army's Command clarified in a statement that, “upon the Israeli enemy's announcement of its threats on Thursday, it began coordinating with the Ceasefire Monitoring Committee to prevent the attack, while patrols were sent to inspect several sites despite the enemy's rejection of the proposal.”
The Lebanese Army reaffirmed its “full commitment to implementing Resolution 1701 and the Ceasefire Agreement,” warning that “the continued Israeli violations of the agreement and its refusal to cooperate with the Ceasefire Monitoring Committee only weakens the role of the committee and the army, and may lead the military to suspend its cooperation with the Committee.”
The statement emphasized that “the army faces challenges with determination and resolve, continuing to carry out its complex missions to assert the state's authority over all its territory, and ensure the security of Lebanon and its citizens, based on its sacred national duty, which remains a top priority regardless of the difficulties.”
