Catholic Relief Services (CRS), the official international humanitarian agency of the Catholic community in the US, is urgently seeking a Director I, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) for a US-based, remote position. This critical executive role demands exceptional financial leadership to drive strategic decision-making across the agency’s vast global operations spanning over 100 countries.

This Director will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and executive leadership, providing facts-based strategic financial analysis and high-quality management reporting for the board finance committee.

Key Executive Responsibilities & Strategic Focus:

The Director will be the principal driver of the agency’s financial strategy and delivery, incorporating FP&A best practices and leveraging expertise in cloud-based Enterprise Planning Management (EPM) systems, preferably Oracle Cloud EPM Planning. Key focus areas include:

1. Strategic Planning Cycle: Leading and maintaining an agency-wide annual planning cycle that seamlessly integrates operational programming, financial planning, and strategic resource allocation.

2. EPM System Leadership: Providing functional expertise and defining user requirements for the EPM system, ensuring efficient processes, quality training, and customer service for all stakeholders.

3. High-Level Reporting: Delivering superior management reporting, scenario planning, and financial insights to the CFO and executive team.

4. Global Collaboration: Partnering closely with the Global Controllers team, Strategy, HR, and IT peers to enhance consistency, quality, and continuous improvement across shared financial processes.

5. Team Development: Providing effective oversight and personal mentoring to the FP&A team, guiding the development of high-performance capabilities.

Essential Qualifications & Skills for Success:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s Degree preferred.

• Experience (Minimums):

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in financial planning and analysis.

  • 5+ years of team management and leadership experience.

  • Proven experience in financial planning using cloud-based EPM software.

• Key Technical Skills: Expertise with Business Intelligence (BI) and data visualization platforms. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Preferred Background: Experience working within large government, non-profit, or global organizations is highly valued.

• Languages: Fluency in English is required. Arabic, French, and/or Spanish language skills are a valuable asset for this global agency.
