الحكومة تستنفر… قراراتٌ حاسمة لتحييد المطار عن أي تهديد
في خطوة غير مسبوقة، ترأس رئيس مجلس الوزراء، الدكتور نواف سلام، اجتماعًا موسعًا في السراي الحكومي ضمّ وزراء عدة ومسؤولين كبار، بهدف اتخاذ إجراءات عاجلة لضمان سلامة المطار والركاب، بعد الحوادث التي وقعت مؤخراً على طريق المطار.
اجتماع حكومي استثنائي: الحريات العامة والحفاظ على الأمن
شارك في الاجتماع الذي استمر حتى الساعة الثانية والنصف بعد الظهر، كل من وزير المال ياسين جابر، وزير الدفاع اللواء ميشال منسى، وزير الخارجية والمغتربين يوسف رجي، وزير الداخلية والبلديات العميد أحمد الحجار، وزير العدل عادل نصار، وزير الأشغال العامة والنقل فايز رسامني، الأمين العام لرئاسة مجلس الوزراء القاضي محمود مكية، والأمين العام للمجلس الأعلى للدفاع اللواء محمد المصطفى.
وفي تصريح للصحافيين عقب الاجتماع، أكد وزير العدل عادل نصار على تمسك الدولة اللبنانية بجميع مبادئ الحريات العامة، بما في ذلك حرية التعبير والتظاهر، وهي حقوق دستورية مكفولة للمواطنين. وأشار نصار إلى أن هذه الحريات لن تتبدل، لكن من الضروري عدم التعرض للأملاك العامة أو المساس بحرية التنقل.
إجراءات حاسمة لضمان سلامة المطار
أما وزير الأشغال العامة والنقل فايز رسامني، فقد أكد خلال الاجتماع أن الحكومة لا تتسامح مع أي تهديد يطال سلامة المطار أو المسافرين، مشددًا على أن الإجراءات اللازمة قد تم اتخاذها لحماية مطار بيروت الدولي من أي هجوم محتمل. وأضاف أن سلامة المسافرين على رأس أولويات الحكومة، وأنه تم اتخاذ قرارات حاسمة لضمان عدم تكرار الأحداث التي شهدتها طريق المطار في الأيام الماضية.
وفيما يتعلق باللبنانيين العالقين في إيران، أشار الوزير رسامني إلى أن هناك تعاونًا مستمرًا مع شركة طيران الشرق الأوسط لترتيب رحلات لإعادتهم إلى لبنان. وأوضح أن السفارة اللبنانية في طهران تتابع الموضوع بشكل يومي مع السلطات الإيرانية لضمان عودة اللبنانيين بأسرع وقت ممكن.
تحييد المطار عن التهديدات والبحث عن حلول دبلوماسية
من جهة أخرى، أعلن وزير الخارجية يوسف رجّي عن سعيه لعقد اجتماع مع السفير الإيراني في لبنان لبحث كيفية معالجة الوضع دبلوماسيًا، مؤكدًا أن الحكومة تسعى لإيجاد حلول سريعة وفعّالة لهذه المشكلة.
وأشار رسامني إلى أن هناك عقوبات أوروبية قد تؤثر على سير العمل في مطار بيروت، لذلك اتخذت الحكومة قرارات حاسمة لتحييد المطار عن أي تهديد، سواء كان سياسيًا أو أمنيًا.
خطة حكومية لتطوير المطار ومواجهة التهديدات
وفيما يخص موضوع مطار القليعات، أضاف رسامني أن هذا الموضوع سيكون من أولويات عمله، مؤكدًا أن الحكومة لا تركز فقط على مطار القليعات، بل تسعى أيضًا لتطوير مطار بيروت الدولي وتحسين خدماته.
ورغم التهديدات المستمرة، أكد الوزير رسامني أن الحكومة ستواصل العمل لضمان استقرار المطار وأمن المسافرين، وأنه سيتم اتخاذ التدابير اللازمة لحماية المطار من أي خطر.
Government Takes Urgent Action… Decisive Measures to Safeguard Beirut Airport from Threats
In an unprecedented move, Prime Minister Najib Mikati chaired a meeting at the Grand Serail, gathering several ministers and senior officials, to take urgent action and ensure the safety of the Beirut Airport and its passengers after recent incidents on the airport road.
Exceptional Government Meeting: Public Freedoms and Security
The meeting, which lasted until 2:30 PM, included Finance Minister Yassin Jaber, Defense Minister Major General Michel Mounir, Foreign Minister and Emigrants Minister Youssef Raji, Interior Minister and Municipalities Major General Ahmad Hajar, Justice Minister Adel Nasr, Public Works and Transport Minister Fayez Rasamni, Secretary-General of the Prime Minister’s Office Judge Mahmoud Makiya, and Secretary-General of the Higher Defense Council Major General Mohammad Mustafa.
In a statement to the press after the meeting, Justice Minister Adel Nasr emphasized Lebanon's commitment to all principles of public freedoms, including freedom of expression and protest, as enshrined in the constitution. Nasr stated that these rights would not change, but stressed the importance of preventing any interference with public property or freedom of movement.
Decisive Actions to Ensure Airport Safety
Minister of Public Works and Transport, Fayez Rasamni, confirmed that the government does not tolerate any threats to the safety of the airport or passengers, emphasizing that necessary measures had been taken to protect Beirut International Airport from potential attacks. Rasamni added that passenger safety remains a top priority for the government, and firm decisions had been made to ensure the events on the airport road do not happen again.
Regarding Lebanese citizens stranded in Iran, Minister Rasamni noted that the Lebanese national carrier, Middle East Airlines (MEA), had been in continuous contact to arrange flights for their return. He explained that the Lebanese Embassy in Tehran is following the issue closely with Iranian authorities to facilitate their return as soon as possible.
Isolating the Airport from Threats and Diplomatic Solutions
Foreign Minister Youssef Raji also announced that he was seeking to meet with the Iranian ambassador to Lebanon to discuss how to address the issue diplomatically, emphasizing the government’s commitment to finding rapid and effective solutions to this crisis.
Rasamni highlighted that there were European sanctions that could impact airport operations, so the government had taken decisive steps to ensure that Beirut Airport remains free from any potential threats, whether political or security-related.
Government Plans to Develop the Airport and Address Threats
Regarding the Qlayaat Airport issue, Rasamni added that this matter would be one of his top priorities. He emphasized that the government was not only focused on Qlayaat Airport but was also working on improving and developing Beirut International Airport.
Despite ongoing threats, Minister Rasamni assured that the government would continue working to maintain the stability of the airport and the safety of passengers, taking necessary actions to safeguard the airport from any potential danger.
