تطرق زهران إلى الزيارة المرتقبة للمبعوث الأميركي توم باراك، مشيرًا إلى أن مضمون الزيارة لا يزال غير واضح، لكنه عبّر عن تحفظه حيال ما نُقل عن نية “تلزيم لبنان لسوريا”، مؤكدًا أن هذا الطرح لا يطمئن اللبنانيين، حتى ولو تم توضيح المقصود.
السلاح والدور الأميركي في المنطقة
وحول السلاح غير الشرعي، أوضح زهران أن واشنطن تركّز على نزع سلاح حزب الله، لا سيما الصواريخ والطائرات المسيّرة التي تشكل تهديدًا فعليًا لإسرائيل. في المقابل، أشار إلى أن تصريحات نائب الأمين العام لحزب الله الشيخ نعيم قاسم عبّرت عن الجهوزية الكاملة للحزب لأي مواجهة قد تُفرض عليه.
