تكريماً لجهوده في خدمة سوريا… دريان يمنح الرئيس الشرع وسام دار الفتوى!
في حفل تكريم مميز أقامه رجل الأعمال المهندس عبد الله شاهين، رعاه مفتي الجمهورية اللبنانية الشيخ عبد اللطيف دريان، تم تكريم مجموعة من الشخصيات البيروتية البارزة. وقد حضر الحفل عدد من الشخصيات الرسمية والدينية، ومن بينهم رئيس المحاكم الشرعية السنية الشيخ محمد عساف، أمين الفتوى في الجمهورية اللبنانية الشيخ أمين الكردي، المدير العام لقوى الأمن الداخلي اللواء رائد عبد الله، رئيس بلدية بيروت المهندس إبراهيم زيدان، وعميد اتحاد الجمعيات البيروتية أمين عيتاني، بالإضافة إلى العديد من الشخصيات السياسية والدينية.
وفي بداية الحفل، ألقى المهندس عبد الله شاهين كلمة أشاد فيها بدور المخاتير في بيروت، واصفًا إياهم بـ “الصوت الصادق وضمير الشارع” الذين يسهمون بشكل كبير في تعزيز الهوية الإنسانية في الأحياء. كما أعلن عن مبادرة لترميم واجهات الأبنية التراثية في بيروت بالتعاون مع محافظة وبلدية بيروت، وذلك للحفاظ على هوية العاصمة المعمارية. وفي خطوة رمزية، قدّم شاهين عباءة بيروت للمفتي دريان عربون محبة ووفاء، كما قدّم درعًا تكريميًا لرئيس رابطة مخاتير بيروت مصباح عيدو.
من جانبه، ألقى مفتي الجمهورية اللبنانية الشيخ عبد اللطيف دريان كلمة أبرز فيها أهمية تعزيز التعاون بين مختلف الجهات اللبنانية، مشددًا على ضرورة تطبيق القانون على الجميع بشكل عادل ودون استنسابية. كما وصف المخاتير بأنهم “مؤتمنون على أهلهم” ودعاهم لتحمل المسؤولية الكبرى الملقاة على عاتقهم. ولفت دريان إلى أن لبنان بحاجة إلى بناء دولة قوية وعادلة، معربًا عن أهمية التعاون مع سوريا الشقيقة باعتبار أن استقرارها هو استقرار للبنان.
وتابع مفتي الجمهورية زيارته الرسمية إلى دمشق، حيث قام بصحبة وفد من العلماء اللبنانيين، بأداء الصلاة في الجامع الأموي الكبير بدمشق. ثم التقى بوزير الأوقاف السوري الشيخ الدكتور محمد أبو الخير شكري، حيث تم التأكيد على أهمية التعاون بين العلماء السوريين واللبنانيين لتعزيز ثقافة المواطنة والعيش المشترك.
وكانت الزيارة تكللت بلقاء مع الرئيس السوري أحمد الشرع في قصر الشعب، حيث أبدى دريان تقديره العميق لسوريا وشعبها، مؤكدًا على أهمية استمرار التعاون بين البلدين في مجالات الأمن والاستقرار والتنمية. في ختام الزيارة، منح المفتي دريان الرئيس السوري وسام دار الفتوى المذهب تكريماً لجهوده الكبيرة في خدمة سوريا.
هذه الزيارة تعد الأولى لمفتي الجمهورية اللبنانية إلى دمشق منذ توليه منصبه عام 2014، ما يعكس حرص الجانبين على تعزيز التعاون والتواصل في المجالات الدينية والثقافية والسياسية.
In Honor of His Efforts in Serving Syria… Daryan Awards President Al-Shara the Dar Al-Fatwa Medal!
In a distinguished ceremony hosted by businessman engineer Abdullah Shahin, the Grand Mufti of the Lebanese Republic, Sheikh Abdul Latif Daryan, honored several prominent figures of Beirut. The event was attended by key religious and official figures, including the Head of the Sunni Sharia Courts Sheikh Mohammad Assaf, the Mufti of Lebanon Sheikh Amin Al-Kurdi, the Director General of the Internal Security Forces Major General Riad Abdullah, the Mayor of Beirut Engineer Ibrahim Zidan, and the President of the Beirut Associations Union Amin Aytani, along with many other prominent figures.
At the beginning of the ceremony, engineer Abdullah Shahin delivered a speech praising the role of the mukhtars in Beirut, describing them as “the honest voice and the conscience of the street,” who greatly contribute to enhancing the humane identity of the neighborhoods. He also announced the launch of an initiative to restore the facades of historical buildings in Beirut, in collaboration with the Municipality and the Governorate of Beirut, with the help of the mukhtars in identifying priority buildings to preserve the architectural identity of the capital. Shahin also presented the Beirut Cloak to Mufti Daryan as a symbol of love and loyalty, and awarded a commemorative plaque to the President of the Beirut Mukhtars Association, Misbah Aido.
In his speech, Mufti Daryan emphasized the importance of cooperation among various Lebanese entities, stressing the need for fair application of the law without selectivity. He described the mukhtars as “trustees of their people” and called upon them to bear the great responsibility entrusted to them. Daryan pointed out that Lebanon needs to build a strong and just state, while highlighting the importance of cooperation with the sisterly country of Syria, considering that its stability is Lebanon's stability.
Continuing his official visit to Damascus, Mufti Daryan, accompanied by a delegation of Lebanese scholars, prayed at the Umayyad Mosque, one of the most significant Islamic and historical landmarks in the region. The delegation then met with the Syrian Minister of Awqaf, Dr. Mohammad Abu al-Khair Shukri, where they confirmed the importance of cooperation between Syrian and Lebanese scholars to strengthen the culture of citizenship and coexistence.
The visit culminated in a meeting with Syrian President Ahmed Al-Shara at the People's Palace, where Daryan expressed Lebanon's deep appreciation for Syria and its people, emphasizing the importance of continued cooperation between the two countries to achieve security, stability, and development. At the conclusion of the visit, Mufti Daryan awarded President Al-Shara the Dar Al-Fatwa Medal in recognition of his significant efforts in serving Syria.
This visit marks the first official visit of the Lebanese Grand Mufti to Damascus since taking office in 2014, reflecting the strong desire of both sides to enhance cooperation and communication in religious, cultural, and political fields.
