حادثة تعرض دورية اليونيفيل لاعتداء في جنوب لبنان: رد فعل رسمي من القوات الدولية
أصدرت القوة الدولية المؤقتة في جنوب لبنان (اليونيفيل) بيانًا رسميًا تدين فيه تعرض إحدى دورياتها لاعتداء من قبل مجموعة من الأفراد باللباس المدني صباح اليوم، أثناء تنفيذ مهمة دورية مُنسقة مع الجيش اللبناني في محيط بلدة الحلّوسية التحتا، جنوب لبنان.
وبحسب البيان، فقد قام المعتدون بمحاولة عرقلة سير الدورية باستخدام وسائل عدوانية، شملت رشق جنود حفظ السلام بالحجارة والاعتداء بالضرب على أحدهم. وقد أوضح البيان أن الحادث لم يسفر عن إصابات جسدية.
وأكدت اليونيفيل في بيانها أن عناصرها استخدموا “تدابير غير فتاكة” للحفاظ على سلامتهم وضمان أمن الدورية. وفي أعقاب الحادث، تم إبلاغ الجيش اللبناني فورًا، حيث حضرت قوة من الجيش إلى المكان وقامت بالسيطرة على الوضع، مما سمح للدورية بمواصلة مهامها.
وشددت اليونيفيل على أن حرية الحركة تُعد من الشروط الأساسية لتنفيذ مهماتها وفقًا لقرار مجلس الأمن 1701، وأن أي محاولة لتقييد هذه الحرية تُعتبر “انتهاكًا مباشرًا” لهذا القرار، سواء كان ذلك أثناء تنفيذ المهمات المشتركة مع الجيش اللبناني أو بشكل مستقل.
وفي ختام بيانها، دعت اليونيفيل السلطات اللبنانية إلى تحمل مسؤولياتها، مؤكدة على أنه “من غير المقبول أن يتكرر استهداف جنود حفظ السلام”، وطالبت باتخاذ جميع الإجراءات اللازمة لضمان تمكين قوات حفظ السلام من تنفيذ مهامها دون أي عوائق أو تهديدات.
من جانبها، أصدرت بلدية بدياس بيانًا شديد اللهجة استنكرت فيه الحادثة، مؤكدة أن التصرفات التي أقدم عليها بعض الشبان لا تعكس مواقف أهالي البلدة أو أبناء الجنوب اللبناني بشكل عام. ولفتت إلى أن بدياس وأهلها يكنّون كل الاحترام لقوات اليونيفيل ودورها الفاعل في حفظ الأمن والاستقرار في المنطقة، مشيدة بالتعاون البنّاء بين القوات الدولية والبلدة.
وختمت البلدية بيانها بالتأكيد على ضرورة الحفاظ على الهدوء والتفاهم، والابتعاد عن التصرفات الفردية التي قد تضر بالعلاقة الإيجابية بين البلدة وقوات اليونيفيل.
Incident of UNIFIL Patrol Attack in Southern Lebanon: Official Response from International Forces
The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) issued an official statement condemning the attack on one of its patrols by a group of individuals in civilian clothing earlier today, during a coordinated patrol mission with the Lebanese Army near the town of Hallousiyeh Tahta, in southern Lebanon.
According to the statement, the attackers attempted to obstruct the patrol using aggressive methods, including throwing stones at peacekeepers and physically assaulting one of them. The statement clarified that the incident did not result in any physical injuries.
UNIFIL confirmed that its personnel used “non-lethal measures” to protect themselves and ensure the security of the patrol. Following the incident, the Lebanese Army was immediately notified, and a military force arrived at the scene, regained control of the situation, and allowed the patrol to resume its mission.
UNIFIL stressed that freedom of movement is a fundamental condition for the implementation of its mandate as outlined in Security Council Resolution 1701. Any attempt to restrict this freedom is considered a “direct violation” of this resolution, whether during joint operations with the Lebanese Army or independently.
In its closing remarks, UNIFIL called on the Lebanese authorities to assume responsibility, asserting that “it is unacceptable for peacekeepers to be targeted,” and urged the authorities to take all necessary measures to ensure that international forces can carry out their missions without hindrance or threats.
Meanwhile, the municipality of Bdeias issued a strongly worded statement condemning the incident, affirming that the actions of the individuals involved do not reflect the views of the town’s residents or the people of southern Lebanon in general. The municipality emphasized that Bdeias and its people hold the UNIFIL forces in high regard for their role in maintaining peace and stability in the region, praising the constructive cooperation between the international forces and the town.
The municipality concluded its statement by stressing the importance of maintaining calm and understanding and avoiding any individual actions that could harm the positive relationship between the town and UNIFIL forces.
