أعربت بلدية بدياس عن استنكارها الشديد للحادثة التي وقعت صباح اليوم، حيث أقدم عدد من الشبان على اعتراض إحدى دوريات قوات الطوارئ الدولية العاملة في الجنوب “اليونيفيل”، وهو التصرف الذي وصفته بأنه “تصرف فردي مرفوض ولا يُعبّر عن موقف أهالي البلدة أو أبناء الجنوب بشكل عام”.
وفي بيان أصدرته، أكدت البلدية أن “بدياس وأهلها يكنّون كل الاحترام والتقدير لقوات “اليونيفيل” ودورها الكبير في حفظ الأمن والاستقرار في المنطقة”، مشيدةً بـ”التعاون القائم والبنّاء بين القوات الدولية والبلدة”. وأضافت: “إن الحادثة لا تعكس في أي حال من الأحوال الموقف العام لأهالي بدياس والجنوب، الذين يعتبرون دور “اليونيفيل” أساسيًا في تعزيز الأمن والسلام”.
وأكدت البلدية ضرورة “الحفاظ على الهدوء والتفاهم بين جميع الأطراف، والابتعاد عن أي تصرفات فردية قد تسيء إلى سمعة البلدة أو تؤثر سلبًا على العلاقة الإيجابية التي تجمعها مع قوات “اليونيفيل”، مشيرة إلى أن التعاون المستمر بين الأهالي والقوات الدولية هو ما يساهم في تعزيز استقرار المنطقة وحفظ الأمن.
كما شددت البلدية على أهمية الحفاظ على العلاقات الطيبة مع “اليونيفيل” والعمل معًا من أجل سلامة المنطقة وسكانها، معتبرة أن أي تصرفات فردية خارجة عن إطار التعاون لن تُفيد سوى في تعكير صفو الأجواء الأمنية التي تحققت بفضل التنسيق المستمر.

The Bdeias Municipality strongly condemned the incident that occurred earlier today, where a group of young individuals obstructed a patrol of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL). The municipality described the event as an “isolated, unacceptable action that does not reflect the stance of the town’s residents or the people of southern Lebanon in general.”
In a statement issued, the municipality emphasized that “Bdeias and its people hold deep respect and appreciation for the role of UNIFIL in maintaining security and stability in the region,” praising the “ongoing and constructive cooperation between the international forces and the town.” The statement further clarified that the incident does not represent the overall position of the people of Bdeias and the south, who view UNIFIL's role as fundamental in promoting peace and security.
The municipality stressed the importance of “maintaining calm and mutual understanding, and avoiding any individual actions that could harm the town's reputation or negatively affect the positive relationship it shares with UNIFIL.” It highlighted that the continuous cooperation between the locals and international forces plays a key role in ensuring regional stability and public safety.
