إحباط محاولة تهريب أسلحة من سوريا إلى لبنان: ضبط صواريخ وذخائر
أعلنت وزارة الداخلية السورية، اليوم الخميس، عن نجاحها في إحباط محاولة تهريب شحنة من الأسلحة من مدينة القصير في ريف حمص، متجهة إلى الأراضي اللبنانية.
وأوضحت الوزارة أن الشحنة المضبوطة تحتوي على صواريخ موجهة مضادة للدروع وكمية كبيرة من الذخائر المتنوعة. وأكدت أن العملية جاءت في إطار المتابعة الأمنية المكثفة لتحركات شبكات التهريب بين الحدود السورية – اللبنانية.
وأشارت الوزارة إلى أن التحقيقات جارية لتحديد هوية المتورطين والجهات المسؤولة عن عملية التهريب، لكنها لم تقدم المزيد من التفاصيل حول الجهة المستهدفة بهذه الأسلحة.
وتعد هذه العملية واحدة من عدة عمليات ضبط أسلحة مهربة عبر الحدود السورية – اللبنانية، وخصوصاً في منطقة القصير التي تعتبر موقعًا مهمًا لحزب الله خلال سنوات الحرب. ومنذ تسلم الإدارة السورية الجديدة للسلطة، بعد سقوط النظام السابق، عملت الحكومة على ضبط الحدود مع لبنان التي كانت تشهد عمليات تهريب كثيفة للأسلحة والمخدرات والبضائع.
وتجدر الإشارة إلى أن حزب الله الذي تكبد خسائر فادحة في حربه مع إسرائيل العام الماضي، قد فقد أحد ممراته البرية المهمة لتهريب السلاح من إيران، بعد سقوط نظام بشار الأسد.
كما بذلت السلطات اللبنانية جهودًا كبيرة في ضبط المعابر غير الشرعية على الحدود، ما ساهم في الحد من عمليات التهريب التي كانت تنشط بشكل ملحوظ في السابق.
Foiled Weapons Smuggling Attempt from Syria to Lebanon: Missiles and Ammunition Seized
The Syrian Ministry of Interior announced on Thursday the successful foiling of an attempt to smuggle a shipment of weapons from the city of Qusayr in the Homs countryside to Lebanese territory.
The ministry clarified that the seized shipment included guided anti-tank missiles and a variety of ammunition. The operation was part of ongoing security efforts to monitor the activities of smuggling networks between the Syrian-Lebanese borders.
The ministry also confirmed that investigations are underway to identify the individuals involved and the groups behind the smuggling operation, although no further details were provided regarding the intended target of the weapons.
This incident marks one in a series of seizures of smuggled weapons through the Syrian-Lebanese borders, particularly in the Qusayr region, which has long been a significant area for Hezbollah. Since the new Syrian administration took power after the fall of the previous regime, efforts have been made to secure the Lebanese borders, which had seen extensive smuggling of weapons, drugs, and goods.
It is worth noting that Hezbollah, which suffered significant losses during its war with Israel last year, lost an important land route for smuggling weapons from Iran after the fall of Bashar al-Assad's regime.
Additionally, Lebanese authorities have made significant efforts to secure illegal crossings on the border, reducing the scale of smuggling operations that had been rampant in the past.
