افتتحت رئيسة رابطة الأساتذة المتعاقدين في التعليم الأساسي الرسمي، نسرين شاهين، حديثها مع “ليبانون ديبايت” بوصف ما جرى بأنه “واحدة من أخطر محاولات ترهيب الأساتذة المتعاقدين في المدارس الرسمية اللبنانية، فقط لأنهم قرروا مقاطعة التقييم الوطني الموحد”.
وأكدت شاهين أن هذه المقاطعة جاءت كرد فعل على غياب أي اعتراف حقيقي بحقوق الأساتذة المتعاقدين، مشيرة إلى توجه وزارة التربية نحو تنفيذ مشاريع تربوية فوقية لا تراعي الواقع التربوي ولا كرامة المعلمين.
وقالت: “ما جرى تجاوز للضغط الإداري العادي، ووصل إلى تهديدات مباشرة تشمل الفسخ من العقود، حذف ساعات التدريس، وإجبار الأساتذة على توقيع استجوابات، وهو أمر غير قانوني وغير أخلاقي سنتصدى له بكل الوسائل القانونية المتاحة”.
وأضافت شاهين: “نرفض تحويل الأساتذة المتعاقدين إلى موظفين قسريًا، ولا نقبل استخدام التهديد كسلاح لكسر الكرامة. كل من يتعرض لضغط أو تهديد عليه التواصل معنا فورًا، لن نترك أي ظلم بدون مواجهة”.
وأوضحت أن خلفية المقاطعة تكمن في رفض امتحان موحد بلا مقومات حقيقية للتقييم، يأتي فقط لتجميل صورة وزارة عاجزة عن دفع حقوق الأساتذة، مشددة على أن مطالبهم ليست مجرد امتحانات، بل تحقيق التزام الوزارة بدفع المساعدات الاجتماعية وبدل النقل وإنصاف المتعاقدين في عقودهم.
وختمت بالقول: “إذا كانت الوزارة مصممة على إجراء تقييم وطني، فنحن نطالب بتقييم وطني علني شامل لأداء الوزارة تجاه الأساتذة المتعاقدين منذ سنوات وحتى اليوم”.
Unacceptable Violations in Lebanese Public Schools: Contracted Teachers Threatened Over Unified National Assessment Boycott
Nisreen Shaheen, Head of the Contracted Teachers Association in Official Basic Education, described the recent events to “Lebanon Debate” as “one of the most severe attempts to intimidate contracted teachers in Lebanese public schools, simply because they decided to boycott the unified national assessment.”
Shaheen emphasized that the boycott resulted from a lack of genuine recognition of contracted teachers' rights, criticizing the Ministry of Education for pushing top-down educational projects disconnected from the real educational context and teacher dignity.
She stated: “What happened today exceeded ordinary administrative pressure, reaching direct threats including contract termination, removal of teaching hours, and forcing teachers to sign interrogations — actions that are illegal and unethical and will be confronted by all available legal means.”
Shaheen added: “We clearly reject turning contracted teachers into coerced employees, and we do not accept threats as a weapon to break our dignity. Anyone facing pressure or threats should contact us immediately. We will not leave anyone to face injustice alone.”
Regarding the boycott’s background, she explained that a unified exam without real assessment criteria aims only to polish the image of a ministry incapable of paying teachers' rights. Their demands are not merely exams but the ministry’s commitment to paying social benefits, transportation allowances, and fairly addressing contracted teachers' contracts.
She concluded: “If the ministry insists on conducting a national assessment, we also demand a transparent, comprehensive national evaluation of the ministry's performance towards contracted teachers over the years until today.”
