بدأ اللقاء بتلاوة آيات من القرآن الكريم، تلتها زيارة رمزية من وفد العتبة الرضوية الذي حمل راية المرقد الرضوي المقدس لتقديم البركة لجميع الحضور. وقد عبّر النائب علي عمار في كلمته عن أهمية هذا اللقاء، الذي جاء لتسليط الضوء على تضحيات الشهداء وعائلاتهم، والذين ضحوا بأرواحهم دفاعًا عن الوطن والمبادئ.
