أثار وزير العدل اللبناني، القاضي عادل نصار، جدلاً واسعًا بعد رده العلني على خطاب نائب الأمين العام لحزب الله، الشيخ نعيم قاسم، الذي ألقاه في بعلبك بمناسبة أربعينية الإمام الحسين. فقد وصف نصار الخطاب بأنه “تحول خطير في النظرة إلى دور السلاح في لبنان”، مشيرًا إلى أن “التهديد بتدمير لبنان دفاعًا عن السلاح لم يعد يتماشى مع مبدأ أن السلاح لحماية الوطن”.

ورأى الوزير أن ربط بقاء السلاح بوجود الحزب العقائدي والديني يُعد تجاوزًا خطيرًا لمفهوم الدولة والشرعية الدستورية، لافتًا إلى أن تهديد فئة من اللبنانيين باستخدام الشارع، أو توجيه الاتهامات للحكومة بالخيانة، “يعني نسف مبدأ المشاركة الوطنية”.
تلويح بالعنف يهدد السلم الأهلي
وأضاف نصار أن إشارات قاسم لاحتمالية استهداف رموز أمريكية داخل لبنان، أو الاستعداد لخوض معركة مفتوحة “مهما كلفت”، تتخطى حدود الخطاب السياسي الطبيعي، وتنذر بتصعيد داخلي خطير. كما حذّر من أن التهديد بخوض “معركة كربلائية” لا يحمل فقط بُعدًا رمزيًا دينيًا، بل يُضمر استعدادًا فعليًا للصدام مع المكونات الأخرى في حال اعتُبروا مساهمين في القرار الحكومي.
رسائل تهدد التوازن الطائفي والسياسي
واعتبر الوزير أن ما ورد في الخطاب لا يمكن قراءته بمعزل عن التطورات الإقليمية، مؤكدًا أن التصعيد الكلامي، خاصة إذا تزامن مع دعوات للنزول إلى الشارع، يهدد التوازن الحرج في لبنان، وقد يفتح الباب أمام توترات داخلية لا يمكن السيطرة عليها.
دفاع الحكومة عن المؤسسات الشرعية
واختتم نصار تصريحه بالتشديد على ضرورة العودة إلى منطق الدولة والدستور، رافضًا أن يتم فرض أي خيارات خارج إطار المؤسسات، ومؤكدًا أن القرار الحكومي حول سلاح حزب الله “هو جزء من محاولة استعادة القرار السيادي، وضمان أن لا يكون السلاح وسيلة لفرض إرادة سياسية على باقي اللبنانيين”.

He argued that threatening to destroy Lebanon in defense of Hezbollah’s weapons undermines the narrative that those weapons are intended to protect the country.

According to Minister Nassar, associating the existence of Hezbollah’s arms with religious or ideological identity violates Lebanon’s constitution and weakens state sovereignty. He expressed concern that calling the government's August 5 decision a “betrayal” places Hezbollah in direct confrontation with the Lebanese state and its institutions.
Warning: Sectarian Tensions May Erupt
Nassar warned that Sheikh Qassem’s reference to possible street protests and the targeting of U.S. symbols in Lebanon carries implications far beyond traditional political dissent. He noted that suggesting an all-out confrontation — even against fellow Lebanese — represents an escalation that could unravel Lebanon’s fragile internal balance.

The Minister also took issue with Qassem’s allusion to a “Karbala-like battle,” interpreting it as more than symbolic rhetoric. Instead, he described it as an indication that Hezbollah might be prepared to engage in direct conflict against domestic opponents if they are seen as partners in enforcing the government’s decision.

In closing, Nassar stressed the importance of respecting constitutional processes and state authority, insisting that government decisions must not be overridden by force or sectarian pressure. He emphasized that the August 5 resolution aims to reassert national sovereignty — not to target any group — and that Lebanon’s future depends on dialogue, not domination.
