لقاء عين التينة بين بري ولودريان: مناقشة إعادة الإعمار والإصلاحات الاقتصادية مع صندوق النقد
استقبل رئيس مجلس النواب نبيه بري في مقر الرئاسة الثانية في عين التينة الموفد الرئاسي الفرنسي جان إيف لودريان والوفد المرافق، بحضور السفير الفرنسي هيرفيه ماغرو ومستشار رئيس مجلس النواب محمود بري. وقد تم تناول خلال اللقاء الأوضاع العامة في لبنان والمنطقة، بالإضافة إلى المستجدات السياسية والميدانية.
وفي ضوء استمرار الاحتلال الإسرائيلي لبعض الأراضي اللبنانية وخرقها المستمر لاتفاق وقف إطلاق النار، تم مناقشة التطورات الأخيرة بما فيها الاعتداءات الإسرائيلية المستمرة وعدم تعاونها مع اللجنة الخماسية المعنية بتطبيق القرار 1701.
كما تطرق اللقاء إلى ملفات مهمة تتعلق بإعادة إعمار لبنان والعملية الإصلاحية المستمرة، بالإضافة إلى المفاوضات مع صندوق النقد الدولي. في هذا السياق، أكد رئيس المجلس النيابي نبيه بري التزام المجلس النيابي بإنجاز كافة التشريعات الإصلاحية المطلوبة، مشددًا على ضرورة البدء الفوري في ورشة إعادة إعمار ما خلفه العدوان الإسرائيلي على لبنان. كما قدّر بري الجهود الفرنسية في التحضير لمؤتمر إعادة الإعمار الذي يعد خطوة مهمة لدعم لبنان في هذه المرحلة.
وفيما يتعلق بتمديد مهمة قوات اليونيفيل في جنوب لبنان، أعرب بري عن تقديره للجهود الفرنسية في دعم لبنان في مواجهة التحديات التي تستهدف القوات الدولية، مشددًا على أهمية التصدي للمؤامرات التي تُحاك ضد القوات الدولية في جنوب لبنان.
Eye of the Tine Meeting Between Berri and Le Drian: Discussing Reconstruction and IMF Reforms
Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri welcomed French presidential envoy Jean-Yves Le Drian and his accompanying delegation at the Second Presidential Palace in Ain el-Tineh, in the presence of French Ambassador Hervé Magro and Berri’s advisor Mahmoud Berri. The meeting addressed the general situation in Lebanon and the region, as well as political and field developments.
The discussions focused on Israel's continued occupation of parts of Lebanese territory and its ongoing violations of the ceasefire agreement, including repeated attacks and its lack of cooperation with the Quintet Committee tasked with implementing the ceasefire and Security Council Resolution 1701.
The meeting also covered crucial topics related to Lebanon's reconstruction efforts and the ongoing reform process, including negotiations with the International Monetary Fund. In this regard, Speaker Berri reaffirmed the parliament’s commitment to passing the required reform legislation, emphasizing the immediate need to begin the reconstruction efforts following the damage caused by Israeli aggression. He also appreciated France’s efforts in preparing for the reconstruction conference, a significant step toward supporting Lebanon during this critical phase.
Regarding the extension of the UNIFIL mandate in southern Lebanon, Berri expressed his gratitude for French efforts to support Lebanon in countering the conspiracy targeting international forces, underscoring the importance of resisting any threats to the peacekeeping forces and Lebanon's sovereignty.
