استقبل مفتي الجمهورية اللبنانية الشيخ عبد اللطيف دريان في دار الفتوى، رئيس مجلس الوزراء نواف سلام، حيث تم خلال اللقاء مناقشة الشؤون الوطنية وآخر المستجدات على الساحة اللبنانية، بالإضافة إلى نتائج القمة العربية التي عقدت في بغداد.
وأكد المكتب الإعلامي لدار الفتوى أن سلام شدد على أن الحكومة تبذل جهودًا دبلوماسية وسياسية مكثفة على المستويين العربي والدولي لوقف استمرار العدوان الإسرائيلي على لبنان، مؤكداً أن لبنان سيتجاوز هذه الأزمة بالتضامن الكامل بين جميع أبنائه.
وأشار سلام إلى أن الحكومة حققت تقدمًا ملموسًا في تنفيذ الإصلاحات التي تلمسها شريحة واسعة من المواطنين في مختلف المجالات، مستمرةً في تعزيز الإصلاحات الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والمعيشية، مع التركيز على تفعيل مؤسسات الدولة كضامن للجميع، وفقاً لاتفاق الطائف والدستور اللبناني الذي يحفظ دور كل الأطراف.
كما أكد سلام أن علاقة لبنان مع الدول العربية بدأت تعود إلى طبيعتها، وأن التعاون والمساعدة بين لبنان وأشقائه العرب دخلت مرحلة متقدمة لما فيه خير الوطن.
من جانبه، أعرب المفتي دريان عن حرصه الكامل على دعم ومساندة الحكومة ورئيسها في جهودها الوطنية الجامعة، مثنيًا على الإصلاحات التي تحققت والتي تشهد عليها الأوساط اللبنانية والدولية. ودعا إلى تسريع معالجة ملف الموقوفين اللبنانيين، خصوصًا الإسلاميين منهم، الذين مضى على توقيفهم فترات طويلة دون محاكمات عادلة.
وأبدى المفتي ارتياحه للأجواء الهادئة التي سادت الانتخابات البلدية والاختيارية في لبنان، وخاصة في بيروت، والتي شهدت منافسة ديمقراطية شفافة عبرت عن إرادة اللبنانيين لاختيار ممثليهم.
وختم دريان موجهًا تهنئته إلى رئيس الحكومة نواف سلام على نجاحه في إدارة هذا الاستحقاق الوطني، مثمنًا جهود وزراء الداخلية والعدل والدفاع، قيادة الجيش اللبناني، والمديرية العامة لقوى الأمن الداخلي، وباقي الأجهزة الأمنية التي حافظت على أمن وسلامة المواطنين وسير العملية الانتخابية بنجاح وشفافية.
Daryan Calls for Fair Trials of Detainees and Praises Nawaf Salam’s Management of Lebanon’s 2025 Elections
Grand Mufti of Lebanon, Sheikh Abdul Latif Daryan, welcomed Prime Minister Nawaf Salam at Dar Al-Fatwa, where they discussed national affairs, recent developments in Lebanon, and the outcomes of the Arab Summit held in Baghdad.
The Dar Al-Fatwa media office stated that Salam emphasized the government’s ongoing diplomatic and political efforts on both Arab and international levels to halt the ongoing Israeli aggression against Lebanon, assuring that Lebanon will overcome this crisis through the solidarity of all its citizens.
Salam highlighted the significant progress made by the government in implementing reforms tangible to many citizens across various sectors. The government continues to push forward economic, social, and livelihood reforms, particularly focusing on activating state institutions as guarantors for all, in line with the Taif Agreement and the Lebanese Constitution that preserves the roles of all parties.
Salam also confirmed that Lebanon’s relations with its Arab brothers are returning to normal, entering an advanced stage of cooperation and assistance for the nation’s benefit.
For his part, Mufti Daryan expressed full support for the government and its head in their national unifying work, praising the reforms witnessed by both Lebanese society and the international community. He called for accelerating the resolution of the issue of Lebanese detainees, especially Islamists, who have been held for extended periods without fair trials.
Daryan also expressed satisfaction with the calm and democratic atmosphere that prevailed during the municipal and electoral elections in Lebanon, especially in Beirut, where citizens clearly expressed their will in choosing their representatives.
He concluded by congratulating Prime Minister Nawaf Salam on successfully managing this vital national milestone, appreciating the efforts of the Ministers of Interior, Justice, Defense, the Lebanese Army Command, the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces, and other security agencies, which maintained citizens’ safety and ensured the smooth, transparent conduct of the electoral process.
