في إطار الجهود الحثيثة والمستمرة التي تبذلها قوى الأمن الداخلي في لبنان، تمكنت مفرزة استقصاء الجنوب التابعة لوحدة الدرك الإقليمي من كشف وتفكيك شبكة إجرامية متخصصة في ترويج العملة المزيفة في عدد من بلدات قضاء حاصبيا بجنوب لبنان.
وفقًا للمعلومات الأمنية الواردة، حصلت الأجهزة المختصة على معطيات دقيقة تُفيد بقيام مجهولين بتصريف أوراق نقدية مزيفة ضمن محال تجارية في بلدتي ميمس وحاصبيا. هذه الأنشطة الإجرامية أثارت قلقًا واسعًا بين السكان والتجار، مما دفع الأجهزة الأمنية إلى تكثيف تحركاتها الاستقصائية والعمليات الميدانية لكشف هوية المتورطين وإيقافهم.
وبناءً على المعلومات الواردة، نفذت المفرزة عملية رصد دقيقة، تمكنت خلالها بتاريخ 25 نيسان 2025 من نصب كمين محكم في بلدة عين عرب التابعة لقضاء مرجعيون. وأسفر الكمين عن توقيف اثنين من أفراد العصابة أثناء تنقلهما على متن دراجة آلية من نوع “بارت” باللون الأزرق.
الموقوفان هما السوريان: ع. م. (مواليد 1997) وز. ع. (مواليد 2000). وقد ضبط بحوزتهما مبلغ مالي مزيف يقدر بـ700 دولار أمريكي، إلى جانب هاتفين خلويين والدراجة النارية المستخدمة في عمليات الترويج.
خلال التحقيق، اعترف الموقوفان بأنهما قاما بترويج العملات المزيفة في بلدات الجنوب مؤخرًا، وكشفا عن هوية المزود الأساسي للعملة المزيفة، وهو المدعو ق. أ. (مواليد 1998، لبناني الجنسية).
بناءً على ذلك، تم تنفيذ كمين ثانٍ في بلدة الصويري بمحافظة البقاع الغربي، وأسفر عن توقيف الرأس المدبّر، حيث ضبط بحوزته كمية من مادة الماريجوانا المخدرة.
وقد تم تسليم الموقوفين الثلاثة مع المضبوطات إلى الجهات القضائية المختصة لاتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية اللازمة بحقهم.

Major Crackdown on Fake Dollar Distribution Gang in Southern Lebanon: Security Forces Arrest Mastermind
In a decisive move to combat financial crimes, the Internal Security Forces’ South Investigation Unit of Lebanon’s Regional Gendarmerie successfully uncovered and dismantled a criminal gang specializing in the distribution of counterfeit currency across several towns in Hasbaya District, southern Lebanon.
According to reliable security sources, precise intelligence revealed that unknown individuals were circulating counterfeit bills in retail shops in the towns of Mimes and Hasbaya. These illicit activities caused significant alarm among residents and business owners, prompting intensified field investigations by the security apparatus to identify and apprehend those involved.
On April 25, 2025, following a meticulously planned surveillance operation, the unit executed a well-coordinated ambush in the town of Ain Arab, located in the Marjeyoun district. The operation resulted in the arrest of two gang members caught riding a blue “Bart” motorbike.
The detainees, identified as Syrian nationals A.M. (born 1997) and Z.A. (born 2000), were found in possession of counterfeit currency amounting to $700, alongside two mobile phones and the motorcycle used in their illegal operations.
During interrogation, the suspects admitted to distributing fake currency in southern towns recently and disclosed the identity of their main supplier: Q.A., a Lebanese national born in 1998.
Following this, a second ambush was carried out in the town of Sawiri in the Western Beqaa, leading to the arrest of the mastermind behind the operation. Authorities also seized a quantity of marijuana from his possession.
All three suspects, along with the seized evidence, were handed over to the competent judicial authorities to pursue necessary legal proceedings.
