لبنان يترقب وصول مورغان أورتاغوس، الموفدة الأميركية، لمتابعة عمل لجنة مراقبة اتفاق وقف إطلاق النار بين لبنان وإسرائيل. وتُعقد الآمال على أورتاغوس للمساعدة في وقف الهجمات الإسرائيلية المستمرة على المناطق اللبنانية، خاصة في ظل تصاعد الغارات، مثل تلك التي استهدفت النبطية يوم الخميس الماضي، ما يشكل تهديداً جاداً للهدنة السارية في المنطقة.
الضغط الأمريكي على لبنان:
تحتفظ إدارة الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترامب بموقف ثابت في دعم إسرائيل، حيث تركز على نزع سلاح حزب الله كشرط رئيسي لتحقيق الاستقرار في لبنان. وتحث أورتاغوس لبنان على تسليم ترسانة “الحزب” إلى الجيش اللبناني. مع أن هذه المسألة قد تستغرق وقتاً طويلاً، إلا أن الولايات المتحدة ترغب في التوصل إلى نتائج سريعة.
ورغم أن أورتاغوس تدعو إلى تطبيق القرار 1701 والقرارات الدولية الأخرى، إلا أن هناك تشكيكاً في قدرتها على فرض حلول فعالة، خصوصاً في ظل الدعم الأميركي الكامل لسياسات إسرائيل تجاه حزب الله والفصائل الأخرى في المنطقة.
النزاع الأمريكي-الإسرائيلي ضد إيران:
التوجهات الأمريكية تتماشى مع رغبة إسرائيل في القضاء على تأثير إيران في المنطقة، وهو ما ينعكس في دعم واشنطن الكامل لكل خطوة تتخذها تل أبيب ضد حزب الله وحماس والحوثيين في اليمن.
أورتاغوس، في تصريحاتها المتكررة، تُعبر عن دعمها الكامل لحق إسرائيل في الدفاع عن نفسها، وهو ما يتعارض مع مواقف بعض القوى اللبنانية التي تُعبر عن قلقها من سياسات واشنطن الداعمة للاحتلال الإسرائيلي.
السلام حسب رؤية ترامب:
التحرك الأمريكي يهدف إلى إضعاف إيران وحلفائها من خلال تجريدهم من أسلحتهم، وفرض السلام عبر التطبيع العربي-الإسرائيلي، حيث تهدف واشنطن إلى تعزيز علاقات السعودية وإسرائيل، ما سيسهم في تأمين الحدود الإسرائيلية.
كما تسعى الإدارة الأمريكية إلى فرض سيطرة الجيش اللبناني على كامل الحدود، وهو أمر لن يتحقق إلا إذا تم نزع سلاح حزب الله والفصائل الفلسطينية.
أورتاغوس: المعادلة الصعبة في لبنان:
تبقى الموفدة الأميركية مورغان أورتاغوس تسعى لضغط مستمر على لبنان لفرض شروط نزع سلاح حزب الله، وهو شرط أساسي في رؤية واشنطن لتحقيق الاستقرار، إلى جانب إصلاحات أخرى تُمكّن لبنان من الحصول على المساعدات الاقتصادية الضرورية.

Lebanon is eagerly awaiting the arrival of Morgan Ortagus, the U.S. envoy, to oversee the work of the ceasefire monitoring committee between Lebanon and Israel. Expectations are high that Ortagus will assist in halting the continuous Israeli attacks on Lebanese territories, especially after the recent escalation of airstrikes, such as the one on Nabatiyeh last Thursday, which posed a significant threat to the fragile ceasefire.
U.S. Pressure on Lebanon:
The Trump administration maintains a firm stance in its support of Israel, focusing on disarming Hezbollah as a key step towards stability in Lebanon. Ortagus urges Lebanon to hand over Hezbollah’s arsenal to the Lebanese Army, although this matter could take time, the U.S. seeks a swift resolution.
While Ortagus advocates for the enforcement of UN Security Council Resolution 1701 and other international decisions, there is skepticism regarding her ability to enforce effective solutions, particularly due to the U.S. full support for Israel’s policies toward Hezbollah and other regional factions.
U.S.-Israeli Conflict with Iran:
U.S. policies align with Israel’s desire to eliminate Iran’s influence in the region, which is reflected in Washington’s full support for every step taken by Tel Aviv against Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Houthis in Yemen.
In her repeated statements, Ortagus expresses full support for Israel’s right to defend itself, which contrasts with the concerns of some Lebanese factions over Washington’s unconditional backing of Israeli occupation.
Trump’s Peace Vision:
The U.S. push aims to weaken Iran and its allies by stripping them of their weapons and imposing peace through Arab-Israeli normalization, where Washington intends to enhance ties between Saudi Arabia and Israel, which would help secure Israeli borders.
The U.S. administration also seeks to ensure the Lebanese army controls the entire border, which can only be achieved by disarming Hezbollah and Palestinian factions.
Ortagus: The Challenging Equation in Lebanon:
For now, the U.S. envoy Morgan Ortagus continues to press Lebanon to fulfill the conditions for disarming Hezbollah, a prerequisite in Washington’s vision for regional stability, alongside other reforms that will enable Lebanon to receive necessary economic aid.
