“البطريرك الراعي: الدولة وحدها هي من تحمينا، والسلاح خارج الدولة يعطل مصلحة لبنان”
في عظته بمناسبة عيد الفصح، أكد البطريرك الماروني الكاردينال مار بشارة بطرس الراعي أن “الدولة وحدها هي التي تحمينا”، داعياً إلى ضرورة أن تكون الدولة هي الركيزة الأساسية التي تحفظ الأمن والاستقرار في لبنان. وفي تصريحاته، أضاف الراعي قائلاً: “نصلي من أجل فخامة الرئيس لتحقيق الأهداف التي عبر عنها في كلمته في الذكرى الخمسين للحرب، وهي الأهداف التي تصب في مصلحة لبنان واستقراره”.
وتابع الراعي تأكيده على أهمية أن تكون الدولة هي الجهة الوحيدة القادرة على حماية لبنان، مشيراً إلى أن “طالما أننا متفقون على أن السلاح خارج الدولة يعطل مصلحة لبنان، فإن واجبنا هو التأكيد على أن حماية لبنان لا تتم إلا من خلال جيشها الوطني”. كما أشار إلى أن “وحدتنا تتمثل في جيشنا، الذي يُعدُّ الضمانة الوحيدة لحماية لبنان وشعبه”.
من جانب آخر، أكد رئيس الجمهورية العماد جوزاف عون من بكركي في تصريحات مماثلة، أن “مصلحة الوطن العليا هي الأساس”، مشيراً إلى أنه في حال وجود أي مواضيع خلافية، فإنها يجب أن تُناقش مع المعنيين بالحوار والتواصل. كما لفت إلى أن “اللبنانيين لا يريدون الحرب، والقوات المسلحة اللبنانية هي الوحيدة التي تحمل السلاح”، مؤكداً في نفس الوقت على أهمية اتخاذ قرار حصر السلاح ضمن مؤسسات الدولة.
وقال عون: “اتخذنا قرار حصر السلاح في خطاب القسم وسننفذه بالكامل. أهم معركة لنا هي محاربة الفساد، ولن يستطيع أحد أن يعرقل قطار قيامة لبنان”. وكانت هذه التصريحات قد جاءت أثناء زيارة عون لبكركي للمشاركة في قداس عيد الفصح، حيث استقبله البطريرك الراعي.
وقبل بدء القداس، عقد الرئيس عون خلوة خاصة مع البطريرك الراعي في مقر البطريركية، حيث تم بحث آخر التطورات في البلاد والمواضيع المهمة التي تخص لبنان.
“Patriarch Raï: The State Alone Protects Us, and Armed Groups Outside the State Disrupt Lebanon's Interests”
In his sermon for Easter Sunday, Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Mar Bechara Boutros Raï emphasized that “only the state can protect us,” calling for the state to be the primary entity responsible for maintaining Lebanon's security and stability. He further stated, “We pray for President’s Excellency to achieve the goals he expressed in his speech marking the 50th anniversary of the war, goals that are aimed at Lebanon's benefit and stability.”
Patriarch Raï continued to emphasize the importance of the state being the sole institution capable of protecting Lebanon, noting, “As long as we agree that weapons outside the state disrupt Lebanon’s interests, our duty is to affirm that only the Lebanese Army can protect Lebanon.” He also added, “Our unity lies in our army, which is the only guarantee for Lebanon and its people’s safety.”
In a similar vein, President Michel Aoun confirmed in his remarks from Bkerke that “the supreme interest of the nation is paramount,” pointing out that any contentious issues should be addressed through dialogue and communication. He also emphasized that “the Lebanese people do not want war, and the Lebanese Armed Forces are the only ones authorized to bear arms,” while reiterating the importance of the decision to confine weapons within the state's institutions.
Aoun further stated, “We made the decision to restrict arms in the inaugural speech, and we will implement it fully. Our most important battle is to fight corruption, and no one will derail the train of Lebanon’s resurrection.” These remarks were made during his visit to Bkerke to participate in the Easter Mass, where he was warmly received by Patriarch Raï.
Before the mass began, President Aoun had a private meeting with Patriarch Raï at the Patriarchate headquarters, where they discussed the latest developments in the country and key issues concerning Lebanon.
