“مورغان أورتاغوس ترد على جنبلاط: المخدرات مضرة يا وليد!”
علّقت نائبة المبعوث الأميركي إلى الشرق الأوسط، مورغان أورتاغوس، عبر حسابها على منصة “إكس” على تصريحات رئيس الحزب التقدمي الاشتراكي السابق، وليد جنبلاط، والتي انتقد فيها شروط أورتاغوس على لبنان واعتبرها “مستحيلة”.
وكتبت أورتاغوس في ردها على جنبلاط، قائلة: “المخدرات مضرة يا وليد”، في إشارة إلى تصريحات جنبلاط، التي اتهم فيها الشروط التي وضعتها أورتاغوس بأنها غير قابلة للتنفيذ.
وكان جنبلاط قد أشار إلى أنه من بين الشروط التي طرحتها أورتاغوس على لبنان “إخراج حزب الله من لبنان وتجريد الحزب من أسلحته”. كما انتقد جنبلاط ما وصفه بربط أورتاغوس مسألة الإصلاحات في لبنان بالمساعدة المقدمة للجيش اللبناني، مشيرًا إلى أنه لم يفهم العلاقة بين القطاع المصرفي وتعيينات الوظائف العسكرية وبين دعم الجيش اللبناني.

“Morgan Ortagus Responds to Jumblatt: ‘Drugs Are Harmful, Walid!'”
Morgan Ortagus, Deputy U.S. Envoy to the Middle East, responded via her account on the “X” platform to remarks made by former leader of the Progressive Socialist Party, Walid Jumblatt, who had described her conditions for Lebanon as “impossible.”
In her response, Ortagus wrote, “Drugs are harmful, Walid,” referring to Jumblatt's criticism of the terms set by the U.S. envoy for Lebanon, which he deemed unfeasible.
Jumblatt had highlighted that among the conditions proposed by Ortagus were “removing Hezbollah from Lebanon and disarming the group.” He also criticized Ortagus for linking the issue of reforms in Lebanon with aid to the Lebanese Army, pointing out his confusion over the connection between the banking sector, military appointments, and supporting the army.
Ortagus had earlier expressed concerns about the impact of Hezbollah's activities in Lebanon, emphasizing the importance of political and economic stability in the country. However, the exchange of remarks between Ortagus and Jumblatt has sparked intense discussions over the conditions the U.S. might impose to support Lebanon, especially regarding political and military matters.
