أكد وزير الإعلام اللبناني، بول مرقص، اليوم الخميس خلال مؤتمر صحافي، أن رئيس الجمهورية جوزاف عون قد أطلع مجلس الوزراء على تفاصيل الزيارة التي قام بها إلى المملكة العربية السعودية. وأوضح مرقص أن هذه الزيارة كانت ذات أهمية كبيرة، حيث اعتبرها خطوة مهمة في إطار تعزيز العلاقات مع الدول الخليجية، مؤكدًا أن “الإصلاحات في لبنان هي مطلب لبناني قبل أن تكون مطلبًا خارجيًا”.

وأضاف مرقص في تصريحاته أن الرئيس عون شدّد على ضرورة التزام الوزراء بسرية المداولات خلال الجلسة، مشيرًا إلى أن هذا الإجراء يهدف إلى ضمان الحفاظ على سرية القرارات والمداولات التي يتم اتخاذها في مجلس الوزراء.

وأشار الوزير مرقص أيضًا إلى أن الجلسة شهدت إقرار مشروع قانون يخص المتضرّرين من الحرب الإسرائيلية، حيث تم الموافقة على إعفائهم من بعض الضرائب والرسوم. وقد كان هذا الإجراء خطوة مهمة في مساعدة الأشخاص المتأثرين بشكل مباشر من النزاع.

كما أوضح مرقص أنه تم التصويت والموافقة على تعيين 63 ضابط اختصاص في قوى الأمن الداخلي، مما يعكس التزام الحكومة بتعزيز قدرات الأجهزة الأمنية اللبنانية وضمان تنفيذ القانون بشكل أكثر كفاءة.

Lebanese Minister of Information, Paul Morcos, confirmed on Thursday during a press conference that President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun, briefed the Cabinet on the details of his visit to Saudi Arabia. Morcos emphasized that this visit was of great importance in strengthening relations with Gulf countries. He added that “reforms in Lebanon are a Lebanese demand before being an external one.”
