وتزامن هذا مع جنازة الأمين العام السابق للحزب، هاشم صفي الدين، الذي كان يشغل منصب نائب نصر الله قبل اغتياله في تشرين الأول 2024 في غارة جوية إسرائيلية مشابهة.

In a notable move, Iranian media outlets released a video showing the “grave” of the late Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, as a confirmation of the death of the figure who was assassinated by an Israeli airstrike.
The video, shared by the Iranian agencies “Mehr” and “Tasnim,” showed Nasrallah's gravestone made of white marble, with his name and titles, including “Master of Resistance.” The gravestone also featured several Islamic phrases and decorative elements that adorned the grave, highlighting the importance of this figure in the resistance movement against Israeli occupation.
Meanwhile, Lebanese citizens began flocking to the Sports City in Beirut early Sunday morning to participate in the funeral ceremonies for the former Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, along with the late Secretary-General Hashem Safieddine.
This comes almost five months after Nasrallah's death on September 27, 2024, due to an Israeli airstrike that targeted the location where he was staying in the southern suburbs of Beirut.
Lebanese media outlets shared footage from the Sports City, where the funeral ceremonies began. The footage showed large crowds gathered to honor the two martyrs.
Simultaneously, the funeral of Hezbollah’s former Secretary-General, Hashem Safieddine, who served as Nasrallah's deputy before his assassination in October 2024 by a similar Israeli airstrike, is also being held today.
