“روسيا وأميركا تركزان على السلام بدل الحرب: مكالمة بوتين وترامب تمهد لحل الأزمة”
أكد الكرملين، اليوم الأحد، أن الاتصال الهاتفي بين الرئيس الروسي فلاديمير بوتين ونظيره الأميركي دونالد ترامب يحمل دلالة مهمة، حيث يشير إلى أن موسكو وواشنطن باتتا تركزان على السلام بدلاً من الحرب.
وفي تصريح مصور، قال المتحدث باسم الكرملين دميتري بيسكوف: “هذه إشارة قوية على أننا سنحاول الآن حل المشكلات من خلال الحوار، الآن سنتحدث عن السلام وليس عن الحرب.”
وأشار بيسكوف إلى أن اللقاء المرتقب بين بوتين وترامب سيكون ذا أهمية خاصة في ظل الظروف الراهنة، مؤكداً أن العقوبات الغربية لن تعرقل المفاوضات، حيث يمكن “رفعها بنفس السرعة التي فُرضت بها.”
وكان ترامب قد أجرى أول اتصال هاتفي مع بوتين هذا الأسبوع، تبعه اتصال آخر بالرئيس الأوكراني فولوديمير زيلينسكي، إلا أنه لم يتفق معه مسبقًا على استراتيجية محددة للتفاوض.
كما أفاد مسؤولون أميركيون، السبت، بأن وزير الخارجية ماركو روبيو ومسؤولين بارزين في الإدارة الأميركية يعتزمون الاجتماع مع مفاوضين روس وأوكرانيين قريبًا، بهدف إيجاد حلول للأزمة المستمرة.
في سياق متصل، أعلنت كل من روسيا والولايات المتحدة أن روبيو تحدث هاتفياً مع نظيره الروسي سيرغي لافروف، حيث “اتفقا على اتصالات منتظمة تشمل التحضير لقمة رفيعة المستوى بين البلدين”، وأبديا “استعدادهما المتبادل للتعاون في القضايا الدولية الراهنة، لا سيما التسوية في أوكرانيا.”
من جانبه، أعرب الرئيس الأوكراني فولوديمير زيلينسكي، خلال كلمته في مؤتمر ميونيخ للأمن، عن عدم ثقته في وعود بوتين، قائلاً: “بوتين لا يستطيع تقديم ضمانات أمنية حقيقية، ليس لأنه كاذب فقط، ولكن لأن النظام الروسي الحالي يحتاج إلى الحرب للبقاء في السلطة.”
كما حذّر زيلينسكي من أن بوتين قد يحاول استغلال ترامب لأغراض دعائية، قائلاً: “بوتين سيحاول أن يجعل الرئيس الأميركي يظهر في الساحة الحمراء في التاسع من أيار، ليس كقائد محترم، بل كأداة في حملته الإعلامية.”
“Russia and the U.S. Shift Focus to Peace Over War: Putin-Trump Call Paves Way for Resolution”
The Kremlin confirmed on Sunday that the recent phone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his U.S. counterpart, Donald Trump, marks a significant shift, indicating that Moscow and Washington are now prioritizing peace over war.
In a recorded statement, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, “This is a strong signal that we will now try to resolve issues through dialogue. We are now talking about peace, not war.”
Peskov emphasized that the upcoming meeting between Putin and Trump holds particular significance given the current geopolitical climate. He also noted that Western sanctions would not obstruct negotiations, stating that they “can be lifted as quickly as they were imposed.”
Trump’s call with Putin earlier this week was followed by a conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. However, reports indicate that Trump did not prearrange a negotiation strategy with Zelensky.
U.S. officials revealed on Saturday that Secretary of State Marco Rubio and other senior administration officials plan to meet with Russian and Ukrainian negotiators soon to explore pathways toward a resolution.
Meanwhile, both Russia and the U.S. confirmed that Rubio had a phone call with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, during which they “agreed to maintain regular communications, including preparations for a high-level U.S.-Russia summit.” They also expressed “a mutual willingness to cooperate on pressing international issues, particularly the Ukraine conflict.”
In a related development, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, speaking at the Munich Security Conference, expressed skepticism about Putin’s promises, stating, “Putin cannot offer real security guarantees—not just because he is a liar, but because in Russia's current state, war is necessary for maintaining power.”
Zelensky also warned that Putin might attempt to use Trump as a propaganda tool, saying, “Putin will try to make the U.S. president stand in Red Square on May 9, not as a respected leader, but as a pawn in his media campaign.”
