العريضي: هل يستكمل الحرب بعد لقاء ترامب – نتنياهو؟
أكد الكاتب والمحلل السياسي وجدي العريضي أن الأنظار تتوجه بشكل مكثف إلى نتائج اللقاء المرتقب بين الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترامب ورئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو، والذي سيكون له تأثير كبير في تحديد مسار الأوضاع في المنطقة، في ضوء التحديات الهائلة الناتجة عن حرب غزة ولبنان وتداعياتها. وأشار العريضي إلى أن الترانسفير الكبير المرتقب في غزة قد يكون له تأثير على لبنان إذا لم يتعامل السياسيون اللبنانيون بحذر ويعارضونه بشكل قوي، عكس ما حدث في فترات سابقة عندما كانت التأثيرات الخارجية والإيديولوجيات تتجاوز الواقع اللبناني.
وفي حديثه إلى “ليبانون ديبايت”، دعا العريضي إلى أن يكون الجميع واعيًا لدروس الحروب الداخلية والخارجية الماضية. وتمنى أن يتعظ الجميع من التجارب السابقة، مشيرًا إلى أن المملكة العربية السعودية ستكون الداعم الأبرز للبنان في المرحلة القادمة. وأضاف أن السعودية ستتبنى سياسة مغايرة عن السابق، وستكون على مسافة واحدة من جميع الأطراف اللبنانية، ما يجعلها شريكًا مهمًا في تعزيز استقرار لبنان.
وتابع العريضي بالإشارة إلى زيارة السفير السعودي وليد بخاري إلى بنشعي ولقائه مع سليمان فرنجية، مؤكدًا على الروابط الطيبة بين المملكة ولبنان، خاصة مع التيارات السياسية المختلفة. وكشف أن السعودية تخطط لتعزيز علاقاتها مع جميع الأطراف اللبنانية، مؤكداً دعمها في إعادة الإعمار، بالتعاون مع دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي والدول المانحة.
وفي ما يتعلق بالمساعدات للبنان بعد الحروب، أشار العريضي إلى أن مجلس الجنوب غير قادر على التعامل مع الأضرار بسبب نقص التمويل. وأضاف أن النائب إبراهيم كنعان اتخذ موقفًا قويًا من النازحين السوريين، مؤكداً على ضرورة أن تُدفع المساعدات من قبل المنظمات الدولية في سوريا بدلًا من لبنان.
ختامًا، اعتبر العريضي أن المرحلة المقبلة ستشهد ترقبًا كبيرًا لمعرفة ما إذا كان نتنياهو سيواصل الحرب في غزة أو في الجنوب اللبناني، أم أن ترامب سيبقى مخلصًا لوعوده التي قطعها أمام الجالية اللبنانية في الولايات المتحدة، بتقليص الحروب في المنطقة، وتحديدًا في لبنان. ورأى العريضي أن تشكيل الحكومة اللبنانية الجديد، وتحصين الجبهة الداخلية قد يساهم في استقرار سياسي وأمني واقتصادي في المستقبل القريب.
Al-Aryidi: Will War Continue After Trump-Netanyahu Meeting?
Political analyst Wajdi Al-Aryidi stressed that all eyes are on the outcome of the meeting between US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, as it will likely influence the region's future, especially after the profound consequences of the Gaza and Lebanon wars. Al-Aryidi warned that the anticipated large-scale transfer of people from Gaza could also affect Lebanon if Lebanese politicians fail to act decisively against it, contrasting with past reactions where foreign ideologies took precedence over Lebanon’s realities.
Speaking to “Lebanon Debate,” Al-Aryidi expressed hope that the Lebanese would learn from the internal and external wars of the past. He further pointed out that Saudi Arabia would play a pivotal role in Lebanon’s future and would adopt a more balanced policy, distancing itself from any one political or sectarian group, which will help stabilize the country.
Al-Aryidi also highlighted Saudi Ambassador Walid Bukhari’s visit to Benshii, where he met with Suleiman Frangieh, noting the friendly and positive atmosphere of the meeting. He mentioned that Saudi Arabia would maintain equal relationships with all political factions in Lebanon and would support Lebanon’s reconstruction efforts, especially after the devastation in the South and Beka'a regions.
In terms of post-war aid to Lebanon, Al-Aryidi pointed out that the South Lebanon Council lacks the financial resources to manage the damage effectively. He also praised MP Ibrahim Kanaan for his stance on Syrian refugees, advocating that funds should be provided by international organizations in Syria, not Lebanon.
Finally, Al-Aryidi concluded by stating that Lebanon is entering a significant phase of uncertainty. He questioned whether Netanyahu would continue the war on Gaza and Southern Lebanon, or if Trump would uphold his promise to the Lebanese-American community to keep the region war-free, particularly for Lebanon. Al-Aryidi suggested that the formation of a new Lebanese government and strengthening internal unity might lead to greater political, security, and economic stability in the near future.
