أعلنت المديريّة العامّة لقوى الأمن الداخلي في بيان رسمي أنّه بتاريخ 18-10-2024، قام شخص يحمل الجنسية السورية باختطاف الطفلة السورية (ر. ن.)، التي تبلغ من العمر حوالي سنتين في بلدة بكفيا. طالب الخاطف ذوي الطفلة بفدية مالية قيمتها ثلاثة آلاف دولار أميركي لإعادتها.

فور وقوع الحادثة، بدأت الوحدات المختصّة في قوى الأمن الداخلي تحرّياتها لتحديد هوية الخاطف ومكان احتجاز الطفلة. ونتيجةً للمتابعة الدقيقة التي قامت بها شعبة المعلومات، تبيّن أن الخاطف يتواجد في منزل أحد أقربائه في بلدة حرار بمنطقة عكار. بعد تحديد هوية الخاطف بشكل كامل، والتي كانت كما يلي:

أُعطيت الأوامر لدوريات الشعبة بتنفيذ عملية مداهمة للمنزل وتوقيف الخاطف بالتنسيق مع السلطات القضائية المختصة.

وفي تاريخ 19-10-2024، وبعد مراقبة مكثّفة، تمكّنت قوة من الشعبة من مداهمة المنزل بنجاح وتحرير الطفلة. وألقت القبض على الخاطف الذي اعترف بتنفيذ الجريمة، مشيرًا إلى أن سبب اختطافه يعود لخلاف مالي بينه وبين والد الطفلة.

The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces issued an official statement confirming that on October 18, 2024, a Syrian national kidnapped a two-year-old Syrian girl, identified as (R.N.), in the town of Bikfaya. The kidnapper demanded a ransom of $3,000 from the girl's family for her return.

Immediately following the incident, specialized units of the Internal Security Forces began investigating to identify the kidnapper and locate the child. Through precise intelligence efforts conducted by the Information Division, it was discovered that the kidnapper was hiding at a relative’s house in the town of Hrar, Akkar district.
