Job Purpose: Providing technical support and following up on the educational process.

Reporting to: Project Coordinator

Number of Direct Reports: 2 Remedial Teachers

Major Activities :

  • Develop the annual curriculum plan in coordination with the Subject Coordinator.
  • Ensuring that the Lessons are being created updated and uploaded on the Education Platform Tabshoura.
  • Supervise and collect monthly lesson plans for all the Subjects and provide a monthly report on the LS department in Tripoli.
  • Support with registration, data collection, and analysis.
  • Follow-up preparation of daily lessons with teachers
  • Develop standardized exam questions for each educational level in coordination with Subject Coordinators and Teachers.
  • Evaluating teacher performance and following up on executions of lesson plans.
  • Coordinating with the Academic Supervisor to create new teaching aids relevant to the plan.
  • Coordinating with the Academic Supervisor to create worksheets for materials as needed.
  • ensuring Subject Coordinators and LS Teachers have all the needed supplies and materials to execute the Lesson plans.
  • Conducting periodic meetings with Teachers to discuss the educational process, and informing the Academic Supervisor and Education Program Manager of the meeting outcomes and action points.
  • Archiving all educational documents (lesson plans, worksheets, translated materials, etc.) with soft and hard copies, organizing them, and submitting them to the learning center project manager.
  • Follow up with partners regarding the educational aspect only and inform the Academic Supervisor and Education Program Manager of the correspondence and updates.
  • Help translate the necessary tools for work.
  • Flag challenges/issues/timely alerts to the line manager to ensure smooth implementation.
  • Provide adequate direction to ensure the smooth functioning of the teachers.
  • Be a proactive and innovative thinker who achieves results and creates positive change
  • Have a very high level of personal and professional integrity and trustworthiness

  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good understanding of Word and Excel for reporting purposes.

Responsibilities with the Protection team:

  • Ensure that all the staff recruited are familiar with B&Z’s Code of Conduct and protection standards;
  • Ensure quality and minimum child protection standards are implemented and respected in all activities, including the child safeguarding policy;
  • Ensure that all the staff can identify at-risk cases and refer them to the social workers in the learning center.

Responsibilities with the MEAL Team :

  • Ensure that all data related to the project is documented, available, and organized upon the request of the program or M&E team.
  • Ensure that students' attendance is documented on a daily basis.

Responsibilities with the Education Projects Coordinator:

  • Ensure that the work plan meets the objectives, targets, and timeline of the project by coordinating with operation teams;
  • Ensure that all communications with the team are in line with B&Z values;
  • Ensure that all communications with beneficiaries, partners, and donors are in line with B&Z values;
  • Ensure and sustain positive relationships with the parents.
  • Attend and actively participate in the meetings on the administration level in the learning centers as needed
  • Ensure that all the classes are scheduled based on a clear schedule and suitable timing in coordination with the Academic Supervisor and Administration Officer.
  • Any other related tasks as per request of the Academic Supervisor.
  • Monitor and manage teacher’s workflow and tasks such as attendance, and behavior with students.
  • Monitor and evaluate the given curriculums and make necessary adjustments when it is needed.
  • Responsible for all admission approvals and consensus when needed.
  • Coordinate with the logistics and Administration Officer regarding all the stationary and related equipment.
  • Coordinate with other educational coordinators to share best practices, lessons learned, and possible challenges
  • Looking for staff development and capabilities.

Key Performance Indicators: 

  • The percentage of completion of the designated educational plan.
  • Participate in producing teachers’ performance charts and evaluation forms.
  • Produce the final table for students’ grades, status (passed/failed), and the percentage of passing students.

Education & Experience:

  • BA in Education
  • 3-5 years of Teaching Experience.
  • 1-3 years experience with curriculum dev and revision.

Competencies:

  • High-Level English and Arabic
  • Ability and comfort to work with Tech and Platforms
  • Ability to produce Quality Reports.
