برّاك يحذّر: “آن الأوان لتحرك فعلي”… الجمود السياسي يقترب من تهديد مستقبل لبنان
في تغريدة عبر منصة “إكس”، شدّد المبعوث الأميركي توماس برّاك على أن مصداقية الحكومة اللبنانية تقاس بمدى قدرتها في موازنة المبادئ مع الممارسة، في إشارة واضحة إلى ملف سلاح حزب الله وحصره بيد الدولة.
قال برّاك:
“من الأهمية بمكان أن تحتكر الدولة السلاح. وطالما احتفظ حزب الله بالسلاح، فإن التصريحات لن تكون كافية.”
وأضاف في رسالة تحذيرية:
“يجب على الحكومة و'حزب الله' أن يلتزما بالكامل ويتحرّكا فورًا، حتى لا يُحكم على الشعب اللبناني بالبقاء في دوامة الجمود والتعثّر.”
يأتي هذا التحذير في ظل ترقب سياسي وأمني، حيث تتصاعد الدعوات الداخلية والخارجية للدولة لاتخاذ خطوات ملموسة تجاه فرض السيطرة على السلاح وانهاء حالة الفوضى التي تهدد استقرار البلاد، وسط مطالبات ببرنامج زمني واضح لإنهاء هذه المشكلة قبل أن تصل إلى نقطة اللاعودة.

Barrack: “The Time for Action Is Now” — Political Stalemate Threatens Lebanon's Future
In a post on platform X, United States special envoy Thomas Barrack warned that the credibility of Lebanon’s government hinges on its ability to translate principles into action, specifically regarding Hezbollah’s weaponry.
Barrack stated:
“It is critically important that the state monopolize arms. So long as Hezbollah retains weapons, statements alone will not suffice.”
He issued a stark warning:
“Both the government and Hezbollah must fully commit and act immediately, or the Lebanese people will be condemned to a spiral of stagnation and failure.”
This comes amid mounting pressure for Lebanon to make tangible progress on disarming non-state militias, as calls grow louder for a clear roadmap to end the prolonged political paralysis—and prevent the situation from spiraling into existential instability.
