وفي وقت لاحق، تدخلت الجيش اللبناني، الذي قام بإعادة فتح الطريق تدريجيًا، وسط انتشار أمني كثيف لضمان عودة حركة المرور إلى طبيعتها. وكانت قوات الأمن قد عملت على تأمين المكان وحماية جميع الأطراف المعنية.
🩹 اعتداء جسدي على رئيس البلدية
خلال تنفيذ الحملة، تعرّض رئيس بلدية البداوي، حسن الغمراوي، لاعتداء جسدي من قبل أحد المحتجين. حيث تم ضربه بزجاجة على يده، مما أدى إلى إصابته. تم نقله على الفور إلى المستشفى لتلقي العلاج اللازم، وأكدت المصادر أن حالته الصحية مستقرة.

فيما يتعلق بالحادثة، قالت الجهات الأمنية إنها بدأت التحقيقات لتحديد ملابسات الاعتداء، مع التركيز على ملاحقة المتورطين.
من جانبه، علّق مختار البداوي، عبد الناصر غمراوي، في اتصال مع “ليبانون ديبايت”، قائلاً: “ما حصل مرفوض جملةً وتفصيلًا، ويعتبر تصرفًا غير مقبول بحق رئيس البلدية”. وأضاف: “البلدية ستتخذ الإجراءات القانونية اللازمة بحق المعتدين، إذ لا يمكن قبول هذا السلوك في بلدة البداوي”.

In a statement to Lebanon Debate, Baddawi's Mukhtar, Abdul-Nasser Ghamrawi, stated, “What happened is completely unacceptable, and it represents an uncalled-for action against the mayor.” He added, “The municipality will take the necessary legal steps against the assailants, as this behavior cannot be tolerated in Baddawi.”
