العلامة علي الخطيب: انتصار بيروت والبقاع دليل قوة المقاومة ومسيرة البناء الوطني
تقدّم نائب رئيس المجلس الإسلامي الشيعي الأعلى، العلامة الشيخ علي الخطيب، بالتهنئة الحارة إلى “الثنائي الوطني” المكون من حركة أمل وحزب الله، وأهالي محافظتي بيروت والبقاع، على الانتصار الساحق الذي حققوه في الدورة الثالثة من الانتخابات البلدية والاختيارية.
وأشار الشيخ الخطيب في بيان رسمي إلى أن هذه النتائج جاءت نتيجة الإدارة الحكيمة التي تبنّاها قيادتا الحركة والحزب في مواجهة المعركة الانتخابية. وأوضح أن “روح المقاومة وشهداءها كانت حاضرة بقوة في هذا الاستحقاق، الذي حاول البعض تحويله إلى صراع سياسي هادف لإثبات هزيمة طرف معين، لكن الردّ الشعبي جاء حاسمًا ومليئًا بالمسؤولية الوطنية”.
وشدّد على الدور الكبير الذي لعبه المواطنون في تثبيت مبدأ العيش المشترك عبر تحقيق المناصفة في مجلس بلدية بيروت، معبراً عن أمله في أن ترتقي المجالس البلدية المنتخبة إلى مستوى الثقة من خلال العمل الجاد في خدمة المواطنين، خصوصًا في ظل الحاجة الملحة إلى الإعمار والتنمية بعد الحرب الإسرائيلية الأخيرة.
كما أشار الشيخ الخطيب إلى أهمية استكمال الجولة الأخيرة من الانتخابات البلدية في الجنوب بهدوء، ملاحظًا أن لوائح التزكية شملت أكثر من خمسين بلدة حتى الآن، مما يعكس وعيًا عامًا بالظروف الدقيقة التي تمر بها المنطقة.
وختم الشيخ بدعوته الحكومة إلى دعم المجالس البلدية المنتخبة للاضطلاع بدورها في معالجة جراح الأهالي، وتحريك عجلة الإعمار، بالإضافة إلى بذل كل الجهود لمحاسبة إسرائيل وإجبارها على الانسحاب تمهيدًا لعودة النازحين إلى ديارهم.
هذا وقد التقى الشيخ الخطيب في مقر المجلس على طريق المطار الزميل علي يوسف، عضو مجلس نقابة محرري الصحافة وعضو الهيئة الوطنية لحقوق الإنسان، حيث تمّ عرض الأوضاع العامة في لبنان والمنطقة.
Al-Khatib: Beirut and Bekaa’s Victory Reflects the Strength of Resistance and the Path to National Reconstruction
Deputy Head of the Higher Islamic Shiite Council, Sheikh Ali Al-Khatib, warmly congratulated the “National Duo” comprising the Amal Movement and Hezbollah, as well as the residents of Beirut and Bekaa, on their overwhelming victory in the third round of municipal and council elections.
In an official statement, Sheikh Al-Khatib highlighted that the triumph was the result of the wise management demonstrated by the leadership of both movements throughout the electoral battle. He emphasized that “the spirit of resistance and its martyrs were strongly present in this election, which some attempted to turn into a political struggle aimed at proving the defeat of a particular side, but the popular response was decisive and full of national responsibility.”
He praised the significant role citizens played in maintaining coexistence by securing parity in the Beirut municipal council. Sheikh Al-Khatib expressed hope that the newly elected municipal councils would live up to the trust placed in them by diligently serving the citizens, especially given the urgent need for reconstruction and development after the recent Israeli war.
Sheikh Al-Khatib also stressed the importance of peacefully completing the final round of municipal elections in the South, noting that so far, over fifty towns have been included in unopposed lists, reflecting widespread awareness of the delicate circumstances facing the region.
He concluded by urging the government to support the elected municipal councils in fulfilling their role of healing the community’s wounds and advancing reconstruction efforts, as well as exerting all efforts to hold Israel accountable and compel its withdrawal in preparation for the return of displaced persons to their homes.
Sheikh Al-Khatib also met at the council headquarters on Airport Road with colleague Ali Youssef, member of the Press Editors Syndicate Council and the National Human Rights Commission, where they discussed the general situation in Lebanon and the region.
