افتتح رئيس الجمهورية الجلسة بتأكيده على أهمية ترسيخ الاستقرار الأمني في البلاد، وأوضح أن الحفاظ على سلطة الدولة هو الأساس لأي نهوض اقتصادي أو سياسي في لبنان. وشدد الرئيس عون على “رفض توريط لبنان في أي نزاعات إقليمية أو استخدام أراضيه كمنصة لعمليات عسكرية من قبل أي طرف كان”. كما أشار إلى أن “القضية الفلسطينية تبقى قضية محقة، لكن لا يجوز أن يدفع لبنان ثمنها من استقراره الداخلي”.
تحذير من ارتدادات الأزمات الإقليمية:
حذر الرئيس عون من التوترات في سوريا وتأثيراتها السلبية على لبنان، خصوصًا في ما يتعلق بأزمة النزوح السوري. كما دعا إلى تعزيز الجهوزية الأمنية في لبنان لضمان تنفيذ الانتخابات البلدية والاختيارية القادمة وفق أعلى معايير الشفافية والحياد.
حوادث إطلاق الصواريخ من الجنوب:
أحد المواضيع البارزة التي تمت مناقشتها في الاجتماع هو تكرار حوادث إطلاق الصواريخ من جنوب لبنان. وأوضح قادة الأجهزة الأمنية والعسكرية أنهم تمكنوا من توقيف المشتبه بهم وبدء التحقيقات القضائية في القضايا ذات الصلة، مؤكدين أن الإجراءات الأمنية والقضائية ستُتخذ بحق كل من يثبت تورطه.
التأكيد على السيادة اللبنانية:
مجلس الدفاع الأعلى شدد على “عدم السماح لحماس أو أي جهة أخرى بزعزعة الاستقرار أو انتهاك السيادة اللبنانية”، مؤكدًا أن أقصى التدابير الأمنية والقضائية ستُتخذ لوضع حد نهائي لأي تهديد يطال لبنان. في السياق ذاته، أكد رئيس الحكومة نواف سلام على ضرورة “ضبط السلاح غير الشرعي” ورفض أي محاولات للالتفاف على منطق الدولة.

في ختام الجلسة، أصدر المجلس الأعلى للدفاع توصية إلى مجلس الوزراء، تحذر حركة حماس من استخدام الأراضي اللبنانية لأي أعمال تمسّ بالأمن القومي اللبناني. وقد تم التأكيد على أن “أقصى التدابير والإجراءات ستُتخذ لوضع حدّ نهائي لأي انتهاك للسيادة اللبنانية”.
Lebanon's Supreme Defense Council Warns Hamas: “Above All Consideration” in Protecting Lebanese Sovereignty
In a significant move to safeguard Lebanon's stability and sovereignty, the Supreme Defense Council, chaired by President Michel Aoun, held a critical meeting at the Baabda Palace on Friday. This was the first meeting of its kind since Aoun assumed the presidency.
