في حادث مأساوي وقع يوم الأحد، أفادت تقارير “الحدث” بأن انفجارًا وقع في منطقة بريقع في جنوب لبنان نتيجة جسم من مخلفات الحرب، مما أسفر عن استشهاد عدد من أفراد الجيش اللبناني بالإضافة إلى مدنيين. وذكرت مصادر أولية أن انفجارًا في سيارة للجيش أسفر عن استشهاد ضابط وعنصر في الجيش، إضافة إلى وقوع ضحايا مدنيين جراء الحادث.
ووفقًا لما أفاد به مراسل “ليبانون ديبايت”، فقد استشهد عدد من عناصر الجيش اللبناني أثناء تواجدهم داخل آليتهم العسكرية، كما توفي طفل ووالدته داخل سيارة جيب كانوا في طريقهم على طريق بريقع – القصيبة، حيث وقع الانفجار بشكل مفاجئ. كما أصيب العديد من الجرحى الذين كانوا في المكان وقت وقوع الحادث، حيث كان بعضهم مجرد عابرين في المنطقة لحظة الانفجار.
وفي وقت لاحق، أكد الدفاع المدني أن الانفجار أسفر عن سقوط 4 شهداء و4 جرحى داخل آلية عسكرية في بلدة القصيبة. وأضاف الدفاع المدني أن هذا الانفجار يأتي نتيجة لمخلفات العدوان في المنطقة، التي لم يتم التخلص منها بشكل كامل، مما يعرض المدنيين والعسكريين لخطر دائم.
وتواصل السلطات اللبنانية التحقيقات حول الحادثة لمعرفة تفاصيل الحادث بشكل كامل، في وقت تحاول فيه الأجهزة المعنية اتخاذ التدابير اللازمة لتفادي تكرار مثل هذه الحوادث في المستقبل.
“Explosion in Breqaa Kills Soldiers and Civilians Due to Unexploded War Remnants”
In a tragic incident reported on Sunday, “Al-Hadath” news agency indicated that an explosion occurred in the Breqaa area in southern Lebanon, caused by an unexploded ordnance from past conflicts, resulting in the deaths of several Lebanese Army personnel and civilians. Initial reports revealed that a blast in a military vehicle led to the martyrdom of an army officer and a soldier, along with civilian casualties.
According to Lebanon24’s correspondent, several army personnel were killed inside their military vehicle, while a child and his mother, traveling in a jeep, were also among the victims as they were passing by on the Breqaa – Qusayba road when the explosion occurred. Additionally, several other individuals were injured as they happened to be in the vicinity at the time of the explosion.
Later, the Lebanese Civil Defense confirmed that the explosion led to the death of four martyrs and left four others injured inside a military vehicle in the town of Qusayba. The Civil Defense added that the blast was caused by remnants of the war, which have yet to be cleared, posing a constant threat to both civilians and military personnel.
Lebanese authorities have initiated investigations into the incident to determine the full details, while relevant agencies are taking measures to prevent similar accidents in the future.
