في مقابلة حصرية مع قناة “العربية”، أكّد مسعد بولس، مستشار الرئيس الأمريكي السابق دونالد ترامب لشؤون الشرق الأوسط، أن الولايات المتحدة تعتبر اتفاق وقف النار في لبنان خطوة تاريخية من شأنها إنهاء تأثير حزب الله في المنطقة. وأوضح بولس أن واشنطن تدعم بشكل قوي سيادة لبنان الكاملة على جميع أراضيه وحدوده، بما في ذلك الحدود الشرقية مع سوريا. وتعتبر الإدارة الأمريكية أن هذا الأمر يعد أولوية في سياق دعمها للسيادة اللبنانية واستقرار مؤسسات الدولة.
وأشار بولس في تصريحاته إلى أن الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية تدعو الحكومة اللبنانية إلى اتخاذ إجراءات حاسمة لضمان الاستقرار الوطني في جميع المناطق الحدودية، بما في ذلك مكافحة النشاطات التي تهدد أمن لبنان من خلال الفصائل المسلحة مثل حزب الله. وأكد أن الولايات المتحدة لن تتردد في دعم أي خطوة تهدف إلى استعادة سيطرة الدولة اللبنانية على جميع مناطقها.
من جهة أخرى، أعلن بولس عن زيارة مرتقبة لمسؤولين أمريكيين إلى المغرب و الجزائر لبحث ملف الصحراء الغربية. وأوضح أن موقف الولايات المتحدة من سيادة المغرب على الصحراء الغربية ثابت وواضح، مؤكداً أن الإدارة الأمريكية ملتزمة بدعم حل سياسي مقبول للطرفين. كما أشار إلى أن واشنطن تسعى إلى تقريب وجهات النظر بين الجزائر والمغرب، معتبراً أن إنهاء التوتر بين البلدين يعود بالنفع على استقرار منطقة شمال إفريقيا.
وأضاف بولس أن الولايات المتحدة تولي اهتمامًا خاصًا إلى قضية اللاجئين الصحراويين الذين يقيمون في الجزائر، مؤكداً أن واشنطن تسعى لإيجاد حل إنساني شامل لهذا الملف.
وفيما يتعلق بالأوضاع في ليبيا، كشف بولس عن العمل الذي تقوم به إدارة ترامب من أجل تطوير تصور أمريكي شامل للحل السياسي في البلاد. وأوضح أن “ورقة الحل” التي تعمل عليها واشنطن ستشمل جميع الأطراف الليبية دون استثناء، وتهدف إلى إعادة إطلاق المسار السياسي المتوقف في البلاد.
وفي الختام، شدد بولس على أن المرحلة المقبلة ستشهد تحركات مكوكية أمريكية في أكثر من عاصمة عربية بهدف تثبيت الاستقرار وكبح التهديدات العابرة للحدود، سواء في المشرق أو المغرب العربي.

In an exclusive interview with Al Arabiya TV, Massad Boulos, former Trump Administration's Senior Advisor on Middle Eastern Affairs, confirmed that the United States views the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon as a historic step to end the influence of Hezbollah in the region. Boulos emphasized that Washington strongly supports Lebanon's full sovereignty over all its territories and borders, including the eastern border with Syria. The U.S. considers this a priority in its efforts to support Lebanon’s sovereignty and the stability of its official institutions.
Boulos urged the Lebanese government to take decisive steps to ensure national stability across all border areas, including addressing activities that threaten Lebanon's security, such as armed groups like Hezbollah. He reaffirmed that the U.S. would not hesitate to back any action aimed at restoring Lebanese state control over its territories.
On another note, Boulos announced an upcoming visit by U.S. officials to both Morocco and Algeria to discuss the issue of the Western Sahara. He clarified that the U.S. stance on Morocco's sovereignty over Western Sahara is firm and clear, confirming the U.S. commitment to support a political solution acceptable to both parties. He further noted that Washington seeks to bridge the gap between Algeria and Morocco, believing that ending tensions between the two countries will benefit the stability of North Africa.
Boulos also highlighted U.S. concerns regarding the Sahrawi refugees residing in Algeria, emphasizing that Washington is keen on finding a humanitarian solution to this issue.
Regarding the situation in Libya, Boulos revealed that the Trump administration is working on developing a comprehensive U.S. plan for a political solution in Libya. He explained that the “solution paper” being prepared by Washington will involve all Libyan parties without exception and aims to restart the stalled political process.
In conclusion, Boulos stressed that the coming phase will see intensive U.S. diplomatic efforts in multiple Arab capitals to stabilize the region and curb cross-border threats, both in the Levant and the Maghreb.
