Syrian Woman Arrested After Stealing Jewelry and Cash from a House in Qorna Chahwan
In a recent security development, a Lebanese citizen, R. M. (born in 1983), filed a complaint against the Syrian woman, K. H. (born in 1990), accusing her of stealing money, jewelry, and other items from his house in the Bayada – Qorna Chahwan area on January 29, 2025. According to the complaint, the stolen items included a sum of money, jewelry, clothing, and shoes, with an estimated value of approximately twenty thousand U.S. dollars.

Following coordination between the Bekfaya Police Station and the Mount Lebanon Investigations Unit, the suspect was lured and arrested in the Bekfaya area, where part of the stolen goods was recovered. During questioning, K. H. confessed to the theft and stated that she committed the crime under the influence of a man named B. A. She also admitted to selling a gold item from the stolen goods, which was later recovered.

Part of the stolen items was returned to the complainant, and K. H. was referred to the competent authorities for further investigation and legal proceedings.
