وحسبما أفادت مصادر من “ليبانون ديبايت”، تجمع منذ ساعات الصباح الباكر عدد كبير من أهالي بلدة يارون عند مدخلها، في محاولة لاستعادة سيطرتهم على أراضيهم بمساندة الجيش اللبناني. ورغم المحاولات السلمية التي بذلها الأهالي للتفاوض مع السلطات الإسرائيلية، أصرت الأخيرة على منعهم من دخول البلدة.
وأدى هذا التعنت الإسرائيلي إلى محاولة الأهالي دخول البلدة بالقوة، وهو ما أسفر عن تصعيد جديد في المواجهات، حيث ألقيت قنبلة من قبل الجيش الإسرائيلي بالقرب من مكان تجمع الأهالي بهدف تفريقهم، كما أُقيمت سواتر ترابية داخل البلدة لمنع تقدمهم.
وفي خطوة أثارت غضب الأهالي، أعلنت إسرائيل أن بلدة يارون أصبحت منطقة عسكرية مغلقة، حيث رفعت لافتة عند مدخل البلدة مكتوب عليها “ممنوع الدخول”، وهو ما زاد من حدة التوتر في المنطقة.
“ليبانون ديبايت” تواصلت مع مختار البلدة، فادي سلوم، الذي أكد أن الأهالي تمكنوا من دخول بعض أجزاء البلدة، لكن السواتر الترابية التي أقامها الجيش الإسرائيلي لا تزال تشكل عائقًا أمامهم للوصول إلى كامل المنطقة. ووصف سلوم الوضع في البلدة بـ”الكارثي”، مؤكدًا أن يارون بلدة منكوبة بكل معنى الكلمة.
وأضاف سلوم أن دخول الأهالي إلى منازلهم كشف عن مشهد مروع، حيث وصف منزله بأنه “مهدّم بالكامل” وقال “لا أريد الكلام”. وفيما يتعلق بمستقبل التحركات، أكد المختار أن اجتماعًا سيُعقد في وقت لاحق اليوم لتحديد الخطوات المقبلة، مشيرًا إلى أن الأهالي لن يتنازلوا عن حقهم في العودة إلى أراضيهم واستعادة ممتلكاتهم.

“Tensions Escalate in Yaroun: Israel Declares the Town a Closed Military Zone Amid Growing Tensions”
Residents of the border villages in southern Lebanon continue their efforts to reclaim their lands that remain under Israeli control. Today, Tuesday, all eyes have turned to the escalating tensions in the town of Yaroun, located in the Bent Jbeil district within the Nabatieh governorate.
According to information from Lebanon Debate, a large group of residents gathered at the entrance to the town early in the morning, supported by the Lebanese Army, insisting on entering the town and reclaiming it from Israeli occupation. Despite their peaceful attempts to negotiate, Israel insisted on preventing the residents from entering.
This Israeli stubbornness led the residents to attempt to enter forcefully, resulting in a new escalation. The Israeli army threw a grenade near the gathering in an attempt to disperse the crowd and set up dirt barriers inside the town to prevent their advance.
In a move that angered the residents, Israel declared the town of Yaroun a closed military zone, raising a sign at its entrance stating “No Entry.”
To gain further insight into the situation, Lebanon Debate spoke with the village mayor, Fadi Salloum, who confirmed that the residents had successfully entered parts of the town. However, the dirt barriers set up by the enemy are obstructing full access to the area. Salloum described the situation in the town as “catastrophic,” adding that Yaroun is “a town in ruin in every sense.”
The mayor expressed his shock at what he saw upon entering his house, which is located in the part of the town that they managed to access. He said, “My house is completely destroyed, I don't even want to talk about it.”
Regarding the residents' intentions to stay or withdraw, Salloum clarified that a meeting would be held later in the day to determine the next steps, emphasizing that the residents will not easily give up their right to return to their lands and recover what remains of their property.
The town is currently experiencing a tense and angry atmosphere, with the residents determined to liberate their lands despite the Israeli escalation. This scene reflects their resolve to reclaim their rights and challenge the occupation by all possible means, especially after Israel declared Yaroun a closed military zone.
