أعرب رئيس حكومة تصريف الأعمال، نجيب ميقاتي، اليوم الأربعاء، عن إدانته الشديدة للعدوان الإسرائيلي الذي استهدف المدنيين في مدينة النبطية، تحديداً اجتماع المجلس البلدي الذي كان يناقش القضايا الخدمية والإغاثية للمدينة.

وأشار ميقاتي إلى أن هذا الهجوم، الذي يأتي في ظل استمرار الجرائم التي ترتكبها إسرائيل بحق المدنيين، يمثل رسالة واضحة إلى المجتمع الدولي الذي يتجاهل عمدًا هذه الانتهاكات، مما يشجع إسرائيل على التمادي في أعمالها العدوانية.

وأضاف ميقاتي قائلاً: “إذا كانت دول العالم عاجزة عن وقف هذا العدوان المستمر ضد الشعب اللبناني، فهل سيفيد اللجوء إلى مجلس الأمن لطلب وقف إطلاق النار؟ وما الذي يمكن أن يردع إسرائيل عن جرائمها، التي وصلت إلى استهداف قوات حفظ السلام في الجنوب؟ وما هو الحل الممكن في ظل هذه الأوضاع؟”.

وكان الجيش الإسرائيلي قد ادعى في وقت سابق اليوم، أنه يشن غارات تستهدف عشرات المواقع التابعة لحزب الله في منطقة النبطية.

وقد أسفرت الغارات الإسرائيلية عن تدمير مبنى بلدية النبطية، مما أدى إلى استشهاد رئيس البلدية وخمسة آخرين، في حين تواصل فرق الإنقاذ العمل على رفع الأنقاض.

 

**Mikati Condemns Nabatiyeh Massacre: What Can Deter Israel from Its Crimes?**

Lebanon’s caretaker Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, strongly condemned today, Wednesday, the latest Israeli aggression on civilians in the city of Nabatiyeh, which targeted a municipal council meeting discussing local service and relief matters.

Mikati emphasized that this attack, alongside the ongoing crimes committed by Israel against civilians, serves as a direct message to the international community, which deliberately ignores these violations, thus encouraging Israel to escalate its criminal acts.

He added, “If all the nations of the world are powerless to stop this continued aggression against the Lebanese people, will appealing to the UN Security Council for a ceasefire be effective? What could possibly deter Israel from its crimes, which have even reached UN peacekeeping forces in the south? What solution can be hoped for in such a situation?”

Earlier today, the Israeli military claimed it launched airstrikes targeting dozens of Hezbollah sites in the Nabatiyeh area.

The Israeli strikes hit Nabatiyeh’s municipal building, killing the mayor and five others, while rescue teams continue to search through the rubble.
