وللمفارقة، لم تكن عملية “تحتَ الحزام” الإسرائيلية في لبنان بعيدة عن مشاهد وقصص الخيال العلمي التي نعرفها
هذه العملية ممكن أن تعيدَنا الى لحظات كثيرة من “الضربات القاضية” في الحروب، التي يُعلن بعدها أحدُ الأطراف الهزيمة، ووقف الحرب من جانبه، منها ما حصل عند إعلان حكومة أرمينيا الهزيمة أمام أذربيجان في إقليم قره باخ، وما حصل في نكسة حزيران عام 1967، عندما هزمت إسرائيل العرب في 6 أيام، وما حصل عام 1945 عندما استسلمت اليابان إلى قوات الحلفاء وأنهت الحرب العالمية الثانية بعد ضربتين نوويتين أصابت هيروشيما وناكازاكي
فهل حان الوقت لأن يُعلن حزبُ الله انسحابه من هذه الحرب؟ أم أنه سيعتبرها فقط ضربة قوية ولكنها ليست القاضية؟

As the famous science fiction writer H.G. Wells once said, “If we don’t end war, war will end us.” Interestingly, Israel's recent “below the belt” operation in Lebanon feels like something straight out of a science fiction scenario.
This operation may remind us of many historical moments where wars ended with “decisive blows,” leading one side to declare defeat and end the conflict. For instance, when the Armenian government surrendered to Azerbaijan over the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, or the Six-Day War in 1967, when Israel swiftly defeated the Arab nations. We can also recall 1945, when Japan surrendered after the nuclear bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, effectively ending World War II.
So, has the time come for Hezbollah to withdraw from this war? Or will it consider this just a powerful blow but not a decisive one?
