Admin volunteer, Country Office GIZ Lebanon

Terms of Reference

General Background:

The GIZ Office in Beirut is looking for admin volunteer to support the Portfolio Management Unit (PFMU), and Human Resource (HR) Unit at the country office for six months.

  1. Requirements

Qualifications

  • University Degree in Business Administration, Public Relations, Communication, Journalism, or equivalent.

Other knowledge, additional competences

  • Good oral communication skills in English and Arabic
  • Excellent command of written English and Arabic
  • Strong knowledge of social media and the use of digital tools
  •  Technical digital knowledge in Office 365, including OneDrive, MS Teams and SharePoint
  • Basic knowledge of the EU GDPR and general understanding of Information Security.
  • Creative and innovative, open-minded team player with a strong willingness to learn.
  • Previous work/volunteer experience with INGOs or NGOs is a plus
  • Ability to think and work independently and work precisely with attention to detail.
  • Ability to write clearly and concisely.
  • Constructive and positive attitude
  • Initiative, sound judgment and demonstrated ability to work harmoniously with staff members of different national and cultural backgrounds.

In this context, the volunteer will fulfil the following:

  1. Tasks
  • Assist the team in communication & coordination-related tasks.
  • Support in updating, drafting designing, proofreading and editing internal and external communication materials (e.g., press releases, publications, PowerPoint Presentations, social media posts, factsheets, etc.)
  • Support in the preparation of talking points and briefing notes.
  • Assist in the preparation and planning of internal and external events at country office level.
  • Support in conducting research on specific topics.
  • Support the Portfolio Management Unit with administrative tasks.
  • Assist in organizing events, meetings or interviews.
  • Scan documents and upload them on the system.
  • Support in answering inquiries and requests.
