JOB SUMMARY
The Nurse will provide consultation and basic medical assistance during the night shift roving between two safe shelters in addition to conducting awareness sessions on health topics.
MAJOR DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Activities
•Develop a monthly plan for the two shelters with the tasks and proposed activities in coordination with the day shift nurse.
•Provide Medical check-ups for two shelters residents and their children (nursing care, medications, medical counselling, …).
•Prepare a medical file for each resident and update the relevant team for follow-up.
•Organize the roving program between shelters with the direct supervisor.
•Prepare a monthly report on the medical follow-up.
•Refer and accompany the patients to the hospital, and medical centers for medical follow up.
•Coordinate the doctors’ visits to the shelters.
•Screen the symptoms of any suspected disease upon arrival of the new residents, to ensure other residents’ safety and take the proper measures.
•Follow up and coordinate with the doctors, psychiatrist, …
•Conduct monthly sessions on health topics.
•Prepare materials for health awareness sessions according to the needs.
•Hygiene inspection.
•Distribute the monthly hygienic kits to the residents and humanitarian kits in coordination with the team.
•Prepare medicines, and request medicines from PHCCs and pharmacies, …
•Monitoring the pharmacy management, medications and oversight of all aspects pertaining to pharmaceuticals.
•Other tasks as required by the supervisor.
Generic Duties
•Follow Caritas Lebanon operational policy and procedures
•Respect the internal policies and procedures for example: dress code, attendance, discipline, etc.
•Complete schedules, activity planners, monitor staff availability and act against any shortfalls
•Resolve any staff issues and escalate any unresolved issue to the related manager
•Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor
JOB KNOWLEDGE
Academic:
•Bachelor degree in Nursing Sciences
Other Qualifications:
•Communication, writing, analytical and negotiation skills
Related Work Experience:
•5 to 7 years of experience in related field
Language skills:
•English and Arabic
Computer Literacy:
•MS-Word / MS-Excel – Intermediate level
