وظائف شاغرة لدى منظمة MdM: مطلوب سائقين (Driver)

Main objectives

Under the supervision of the Logistic and IT Officer, he/she is in charge of driving MdM vehicles according to MdM procedures.

Main responsibilities

• Driving MdM vehicles of different types. (5 seats, 12 seats, or other)
• Passenger safety and security of transported materials/equipment
• Inform the Logistic and IT Officer of the departure/arrival time and location of each trip.
• Maintenance /Inspection of the vehicle
• Carrying out logistic activities under the supervision of the Logistic and IT Officer.
• Remaining stand-by in the office in between movements
• Any other additional duties requested by his/her supervisor

Detailed activities

Passenger safety and security of transported materials/equipment

• Adapt his/her behavior and drive to ensure passengers' security, MDM equipment, and the rest of the road/street users (drivers, pedestrians, etc.).
• Always drive according to the Lebanese circulation code and respect speed limits.
• Always put safety belt while driving and ensure all passengers do the same
• Ensure having a valid driving license and always have it ready for any eventual inspection
• Ensure minimum tools are in the vehicle, and report to the line manager the missing tools.
• Ensure that all necessary documents are valid and renewed before the expiration date (insurance of the car, maps of Lebanon, discharge of liability, first aid kits, etc.).
• Ensure waiver of liability signed with passengers who are not MDM employees. 
• Report to the line manager / Security focal point any security accident.

Maintenance of the vehicle

• Check regularly the vehicle's motor, oil level, brake liquid, air pressure of wheels, windshield liquid, etc.
• Alert direct supervisor in case of technical problems or need for maintenance
• Organize or if possible, carry out any necessary maintenance after validation by the direct supervisor
• Ensure the vehicle is clean on the inside and outside
• Ensure all necessary equipment and materials are present in the vehicle and a good condition (tools, spare wheel, airlift, belts, ropes, etc.)
• Refill the fuel tank each time it is at ½ of its capacity and in full each Friday night.
• Fill the log book as per MDM procedures.

 Other duties/responsibilities:

• Participate in internal work meetings and inform MdM team on log issues.
• Report any security-related issues to the line manager/Security focal point.
• Support operational organization of field trips and MdM programs/activities
• Support at the warehouse when required.
• Load /unload from MDM when it is needed.

This job description can be modified at any time according to changes in MDM activities or the context with prior notice and agreement between the two parties. On-demand of the direct supervisor, other tasks might be added to that list.

• High school degree.
• Minimum 2 years of previous job experience relevant to the function
• Possess a valid driver’s license
• Have a good knowledge of driving rules and regulations
• Skills in minor vehicle repair desirable
• Perform functions most efficiently, while remaining courteous and respecting principles of confidentiality;
• Respect all local traffic rules and regulations;
• Drive the vehicle only when his safety or security is not at risk;
• Decline to drive passengers not authorized to be in an MDM vehicle.
• Languages:
  • Arabic: Essential.
  • English and/or French: Basic – Desirable, but not essential
