Under the supervision and technical support of the Programs Manager, the Child Protection Case Worker will give support in identifying, documenting and responding to child protection cases of vulnerable and at risk children to access basic services and receive other support as required.He/she will take lead in identification of cases for children with protection concerns using the national Case Management forms.

Job Purpose:

Act according to the guiding principles of Child Protection case management including: survivor centered approach, respect of confidentiality, prioritize according to safety concerns, ‘do not harm’, ensure a non-discriminatory approach, act according to the best interest of the child, ensure accountability, respect professional boundaries and avoid conflict of interest;

Generic Duties:

1. Detect, counsel and follow up individual cases identified by Sanabel Al Janoub team.
2.  Manage, fill, archive specific forms for cases profiling, referral and weekly reporting ensuring confidentiality, accuracy and timeliness;
3. Be available to provide basic emotional support for urgent cases;
4. Manage the hotline according to the internal procedures;
5. Ensure that data protection protocol is respected;
6. Be available to participate in meetings and trainings;
7. Accomplish any other task not here listed if necessary to the projects achievement.

Specific Duties:

1. Plan to conduct home visits to assess the living conditions of the cases when appropriate, when needed, and if the child or the survivor give her/his consent;
2. Ensure the preparation of accurate case plans for high-risk cases identified with clearly outcomes and time-frame;
3. Mapping of services in area of intervention and reporting information to Programs manager;
4. Implementation of case management in the intervention location in accordance with all CM steps and related tools and procedures;

Monitoring and Reporting:

1. Provide daily and weekly updates about new cases assessed;
2. weekly and Monthly reports.
